    Footy footy footy footy footy

    Woooo!

I still find the partial lockouts on opening day to be a little weird, kinda anti-climatic, but man, I'm not gunna complain!

    Great to have footy back!

    ---

sorry to cut into Walesy's thread but I have updated the Rookies file to show selections as at Thursday night - organge = emergency/7 man interchange, cheers TTH

@Senator96 I have swapped out Bowes for Mccluggage at this stage and now have Taranto in the midfield.

I now need to work out who fills the last midfield spot SPP, Barrett, Parfitt are the current choices...

Not for mine, I think he is probably 10 points under priced, but unlikely to be top 10

Does anyone have any wisdom on the JS and value proposition of J.Smith vs Otten for D7? This is my last decision for my team.

Does Cheney's new injury improve Otten's JS, or do they play different roles?
I don't know much about J.Smith, but there seem to be some glowing media articles (which may mean nothing when push comes to shove). Is he likely to stay in the team?

I already have Hampton on field and Stewart at D8 and Hibberd at M9 (for DPP)

      My prems this game:
      Adams - 151DT, 117SC
      Treloar - 125DT, 96SC
      Macrae - 116DT, 92SC
      Bontempelli - 89DT, 120SC
      Dahlhaus - 99DT, 85SC
      580DT, 510SC

Never seen such a variance in scores tbh. Weird game.

Going to stick with Permafield as captain.

given his JLT form Otten is a reasonable chance of scoring well if he stays in the team, with Lever most likely back in next week he needs to stay ahead of Jake Kelly who also did well pre-season and in 2015

J Smith probably won't score as well but may find it easier to keep Frost out in a few weeks, so a possibility he may have better JS

Having had a look this morning I am considering bringing Smith in but not for Otten. Hibberd is the one in the gun due to a range of factors including his JLT scoring not being as impressive as the others down back.

Up forward I am having doubts about Houston, with Shoenmakers bankable at 60 with good JS and players such as Simpkin, Turner, Ainsworth and McCarthy potentially scoring better and again potentially better JS, albeit all are much more expensive.

No changes for Swans and Port Adelaide, and for the Demons

The Saints have Lonie in to replace McCartin

Yup, gone for the game, feel sorry for a kid in his first game, not a SC issue as we had so many def rookie options..

Brutal start to SC. Went Pickett over Butler, went Smith over Houston (with some DPP shenanigans). Went without Gawn after to-ing and fro-ing. Now I have to scramble for Swallow.
