      Hannebery's year cannot be underestimated - 17 votes after 11 games is very impressive.

      Such a strange year when Gary Ablett not listed anywhere above, when you consider in 8 years prior:

      5x Leigh Matthew Award (MVP)
      5x Best and Fairest
      2x Brownlow
      6x in top 3 of Brownlow

      Hope he comes back this weekend. Have left one midfield upgrade on hold in hope that he returns to form!

      Great write up but I will have to take you to task on the following:

      Hombsch can't make the All Australian Squad?

      Tom McDonald is in there? Don't let the SC scoring system fool you when you can still score over 100 pts even though your man kicks 4+ goals. Numerous times this year, McDonald's opponent has tore him a new one. Most recent example is the Queens Birthday game against Cloke in the 1st qtr,.

      Tom McDonald has beaten his opponent more often than not this season. I think he's only been beaten 3 times all season.

      Even then, I remember against Hawthorn he got flogged by Roughead, but McD still had a heap of marks from opposition kicks etc, and did some good things, so it wasnt a complete write-off of a game.

      Have to agree with you here Steve, when has Hombsch actually been beaten by his opponents this season!!!
      And as for Port's B&amp;F at the half way mark, I will go out on a limb and say that Hombsch would be well inside the best 5 in voting thus far!!!
