    The Buffaloes heading over to Cow Bay to round out the regular season;

    IN:
    May, Mumford, Selwood, Reid
    OUT: Gleeson, Longer, Dangerfield, Kennedy

D: Steven May, Tom Langdon, Nick Haynes, Alex Witherden (Harbrow)

    R: Shane Mumford (Longer)

With 3rd spot all but secured the Buffaloes are taking the chance to rest a couple more stars for the final round of the season. Dangerfield & Kennedy are the beneficiaries of a rest this week but in big news Mummy is back in an attempt to sew up the Big Tap

Round 20 (17) - Korumburra Blowflys vs Nuytsland Vikings

This is it for the Blowflys (8th) as we welcome the Vikings (1st) to the Terrordome this week in the final regular season game for this year. After a solid win against the Whalers last week, the Blowflys find themselves sitting in 8th position on the ladder on %. In an upcoming photo finish to what has been a tightly fought season, KBFC are precariously placed on a knifes edge. The equation is a simple one = beat the #1 team in the league this week and we deservedly play finals, lose and its farewell to season 2017.

The whole town has been up and about all week, with the crowd at the Terrordome sure to be at fever pitch for this weekends massive game. Some big ins where it counts this week with former BAFFU winner Todd Goldstein returning to give his midfielders first use of the footy. Champion midfielder Gary Ablett also returns - fingers crossed! Some Ex-Pakenham voodoo clearly at play with Gaz in the second half of this season.

Luke Hodge will have played his last game for the mighty Flys if his teammates can't muster a win this week. An accumulation of niggling incidents over the season have added up to a horribly timed 1 week suspension for the defensive general. Exciting young forwards Cockatoo and Ainsworth are out with injuries this week but will be replaced by the experience of Steve Johnson and Puopolo. Hartung and Fisher remain in the mix for a late call up along with Braydon Preuss, another possibility for a late call up to play his first game for the mighty Blowflys on the big stage.

    IN : T. Goldstein, G. Ablett, A. McDonald-Tipungwuti, S. Johnson, P. Puopolo

OUT : L. Hodge (suspended), B. Ainsworth (knee), N. Cockatoo (hamstring), B. Hartung (omitted), S. Darcy (rested)

    D - S. Docherty, J. Hunt, J. Webster, A. McDonald-Tipungwuti
    M - R. Sloane, G. Ablett, B. Goddard, S. Menegola (EMG Z. Fisher)
    R - T. Goldstein (EMG B. Preuss)
    F - G. Hewett, C. Hooker, S. Johnson, P. Puopolo (EMG B. Hartung)
    I/C - L. Picken, J. Redden

An all time record of 1-1 between these 2 sides plus some tantalising match ups in this one with Goldy v Grundy, the battle of 2 stacked midfields - Sloane v Crouch, Ablett v Mitchell, etc. Docherty v Petracca, Roberton v Stevie J, the list goes on.

3 Ex-Blowflys in Greene, Motlop and Montagna have done the right thing by their old club and are missing for the Vikings for one reason or another this week. Meanwhile KB's Ex-Vikings Picken and Menegola have reportedly been chomping at the bit to take on their old mob!

Nuytsland have taken all before them this season. Batting ridiculously deep across all lines. How's this for a list of outs at either end - down back - Boyd, Birchall, Montagna, up front - Greene and Motlop. These guys missing from any other teams line up would be enough to cripple them but the Vikings still look rock solid across the board.

Not to be outdone, Korumburra are currently missing the likes of Walters, Barlow, Hodge and Ainsworth from their best 15.

    Prediction - Vikings by 112

The parallels between the Blowflys and Bombers this season are inevitable with both sides dropping games they seemingly had in the bag, which has now put them both in a do or die situation where they must win to play finals. Both sides have been somewhat schizophrenic this year - extremely disappointing at times while also capable of scintillating football and able to put any side to the sword on their day.

Let's hope the rollercoaster ride peaks this week and the Blowflys bring their A game to get the W against the Vikings!

Gisborne Grenades - I was going to write a preview but then I remembered that has done a better job than I could :D

D: Wilson, Grundy, Talia, Ryan (Hombsch)
    M: Neale, Billings, Steele, Powell-Pepper
    R: Seedsman (OOP)
    F: McGovern, Douglas, Jones, Casboult
    IC: Gresham, Hamling (Plowman)

In a cruel twist of fate Levi Casboult plays his first match of the year for the Grenades in the last match of the year, after playing neraly every game last season
