The Round 8 fixture is as follows (teams currently in the 8 in bold):

Useless Loop Virgins (5-2) vs Black Swamp 29ers (6-1)
The Virgins are high on confidence having won 4 straight and will face a 29ers team that makes the long trip west looking to rebound from their first loss of the season in Round 7.

Cockburn Avengers (4-3) vs Maralinga Atoms (5-2)
The Avengers have had a nighmare fortnight and this match should see the Atoms move to 6-2 for the season as coach @Brett Sanders will have put his troops on notice after wins against highly placed teams have been somewhat wasted after back to back losses to Port Lincoln and Drouin in Rounds 4 and 5.

Rutherglen Fugitives (5-2) vs Heard Island Shags (3-4)
The 4th placed Fugitives were beaten last start and will up against a Shags side that has now won 2 straight matches.

Walpole Woylies (5-2) vs Jan Juc Ducks (2-5)
The 5th placed Woylies have won 3 straight and present a formidable challenge for the Ducks who have lost 3 straight.

Drouin Dropbears (2-5) vs Mt Thirsty Boozers (5-2)
The Grand Final replay sees the 2017 premiers visiting the twice runners up. The Dropbears chances of an upset look remote with the Boozers Bombers contingent playing the Blues in the AFL.

Mole Creek Glow-Worms (0-7) vs Neptune Island Noahs (6-1)
The Glow-Worms tied the all time ORFFF record of 11 consecutive losses last week and will have to play out of their skins to challenge the new ladder leaders and outright premiership favourite. Helping the cause will be the heavy rains late in the week which have torn up Mole Creek's normally pristine playing surface which nullify some of the Noahs skill advantage.

Nangkita Bucks (2-5) vs Port Lincoln Power (3-4)
Much like this weekends AFL showdown Nangkita takes on Port Lincoln in a South Australian derby match that could go either way. The coaches allegiances suggest the result of the Crows and Power matchup could be a key factor in the result of this match.

MacQuarie Island Whales (2-5) vs Wedge Island White Pointers (1-6)
With both teams winning last week they have the opportunity to make it back to back and start to move up the ladder in a match where the home side will start warm favourites.

In intercomp contests the Champions League Quarter Finals the Ducks fling the flag for the ORFFF as they take on the Mallacoota Magicans of the ORFFL with coach @thokash watching his 2 offspring fight over the right to advance to the Final 4.

Once again team entry can be done at http://tooserious.net/forum/tsLeagues.php?leagueId=14 (just click the green button under Submit Team).

Once lockout is underway Matchday teams can be found at
    http://tooserious.net/forum/tsLeagueMatchday.php?leagueId=14&round=8

    Good luck all.

    Black Swamp (Round 8)

    In – Bont, Henderson, Hardwick
    Out - Fogarty, S Hill
Note Fogarty was a late in for the Bont in Round 7, and Henderson was also a late out in Round 7 with no cover

McVeigh Hardwick Jonas SDT - ANB (oop)
Beams R Henderson Duckwood Bont - S Hill
Westhoff Hooker JDG S Edwards - Hayward
    Sinclair - no emg
    Geary Cutler - Gallucci

The Bont , Henderson and Hardwick replace Fogarty and S Hill to add class and experience to a side that was well beaten last start against the Woylies. Hill, Hayward and Gallucci are emergencies as well as ANB who is named OOP as a defensive emergency. Clark is the only player named in the AFL who has failed to make the 29ers firsts.

Joining him in the seconds are Newman and Mayes who are emergencies at AFL level. Viney and Roughead return from injury in the State League while Stretch is on the outer and Barlow having another week off for unspecified reasons. Fogarty has been managed while Grigg and Joyce join Sam Reid on the injured list and Barlow has a week off for shitting on Stewie Dew's lawn after getting dropped a few weeks ago.

Early in the final quarter the Virgins @YAD69 13/1184 (including a Naughton donut) have a commanding lead over the visiting 29ers 11/959.

The 29ers have SDT and Edwards running out in the early game and if they are to overrun the hosts they will need to bridge most of the gap before Duckwood and JDG go head to head with T Phillips and Stanley for Useless Loop in the final match of the round.

Totally forgot Jeremy McGovern was out this week. Hopefully Brandon Ellis is a late inclusion for the Tiges today

    @TheTassieHawk
I reckon the Virgin’s just got there over the 29ers even with a Naught from Naughton.

    Virgin’s on 1,3520/15 90.1 defeat the 29ers on 1,205/15 80.3

For the home side, big Sandi delivers again, with 50 Shades, Neale & May running the gauntlet. Bad boy Sicily & Mundy combined well up forward to seal the match.

The visitors had the Bont, the Hoff & the Jonas keeping them in touch. Unfortunately Edwards, Geary & Thompson appeared to be napping at critical times in the game.

Pretty well summed up mate, and while I had slightly different scores we were still well beaten by 13 and a bit players considering the Virgins Naughton and Phillips injuries, i reckon the Virgins are in for a big year based on the first 8 rounds.

Think I finally cracked a win in another high scoring affair. Walpole had 1354 from only 14 with Nathan Wilson and Andy McGrath both outs. If they had the 15th player would have been another incredibly tight finish with the Ducks scoring 1432 - would almost certainly have been the highest losing score either way!

And the Ducks are 2-0 against cross-code arch rivals the Magicians 1432-1301
