I was on track for 18 til Timmy Smith got himself cut. Might need to take the tactical donut.

My teams outs are Laird, Fyfe, Dusty, Billings and T Smith. Fortunately Scheer got picked again.

I currently have 16 starters plus a possible 17th (Crowden) prior to trades. That is having dodged further carnage in Coniglio and Mitch Robinson who some other teams will have.

I reckon a lot of teams will be eyeing off the key GCS and Port Adelaide players like Robbie Gray, Westhoff, Boak, Dixon, Jonas and Touk Miller - 2 extra premium games over the next 3 weeks is going to be worth a lot o fpoints nd rankings heading to the other wide of the byes !

This time last week was not worried about rd12 bye. Had 19 players not including T Smith & Ridley. Now minus Fyfe, Laird, Martin & Cogs, plus above mentioned rookies, now relying on the likes of Spargo, Henry, Banfield & Holman to makeup 15 players on field. Is Martin only out for 1week, I think not.

Important question about the bye rules.

The rules say it will include emergencies in calculations of your "best 18".

Does this mean it will only count a forward emergency if an on-field forward is not playing?
Can a forward emergency cover a non-playing mid?

I have 8 playing forwards but only 5 playing mids.

Edit : Nevermind I've answered it myself Emergencies can only cover their line, as per usual. This means I need some fancy DPP switch trades to assist my midfield.

what a freaking nightmare. Had a very nicely structured team, or so I thought, but now have out that I was not expecting: Laird, Fyfe, Coniglio, Martin in addition to Simpson, Mitchell, P Cripps, Gaff, Sicily and McLean that were planned. The plan included having Westhoff and Gray in the team for this round and at least that has held up (touch wood).

I hope I am not alone.

TU - Ridley to Mihocek and Barry to Austin - gives 16 16 on field if guelfi plays
TD - save trades as your not getting 18 anyway (if i do the above will leave 11)

18 for me after having to revamp my trades. My bye trading plan has been binned.
Spargo, Ronke and Dusty out. Tom Phillips, Mitch Ducan and Austin in
My thinking is Dusty won't be back until after their R15 bye

Fantasy freako with rumours of Neale having a corked calf. That would just be great, really really great.

Also in the camp wondering if I bother re-jigging everything and going early on Gray, Westoff or Jonas to make up the numbers or just taking the weekend off and regrouping next week...

Logan Austin a must have (like Tim Smith)?

It depends on whether you are bringing in a player to score points, provide cover post byes or make cash. If Mihocek and Austin are going to remain in your final team their cash increase is irrelevant.

I would consider sideways trading a missing premium to a GCS or PTA premium as it may be a better use of a trade - then be sure to use you last 11 wisely.

There is nothing that stand out as a port player to bring in that I can afford same as GC players Ridley for mihocek doesn’t effect the byes and well Barry out using some dpp for Austin as Barry is not much god just sitting there looking like the rest of the byes with trading both will leave me with 19 next week and 18 the week after also 11 trades and 200k
