@Bandit thanks for promptly submitting another bid for PSD pick 30. I think Daniel Rich and Cale Hooker will have a similar scoring output in 2019, I am unable to say with confidence that one will outscore the other. In 2018 and in the five season period from 2014 to 2018 Rich averaged slightly more than Hooker. I don't know if it is a bullet wound or just requires a band-aid but Hooker appears on the latest AFL injury list with hamstring and TBC beside his name. Rich is younger than Hooker and Len has also offered an earlier draft pick at 47 which would be the Devils first pick at the PSD, @Len's bid remains in front.

less than 80 minutes until the 10pm auction closing time for PSD pick 4

    Pick 10 @Bandit
    Pick 12 @jimbowan
    Pick 13 @ChiefRussell
    Pick 14 @Len
    Pick 15 @Bandit again

each of you has the chance to get a massive pick upgrade and all it will cost you is your top 15 pick plus a player worth an early to mid 2nd round pick - surely each of you would have several of those and plenty of time to rebalance your squad after you pick up the bargain of the century !!

    @Fitzy, @bama, @Tracey, @graeme, @Lenny120, @DaveH

as for those with picks 16-29 don't count yourselves out of the running if you bid a player worth mid-late 1st round and a pick it will be a close call.

    Cheers TTH

    @JC

9.59pm is cutting it fine. The Nuffers list committee has thoroughly assessed the Battlers bid and has concluded that it is superior to the previous lead bid.

Hence Pick 4 is now on it's way to the flood ravaged township of Birdsville.

Thanks to all of the other bidders.

Cheers, mate. Didn't intend to cut it that fine and thought I might've missed it.

And all the best with Tom. While not an original Battler, he was picked up in the first ORFFA season and was almost part of the furniture. He's been a wonderful servant of the club and is the only player to have won our B&F on more than one occasion. So it's with some reservation that we've decided to move him on. We wish him well.

The Nuffers are auctioning Kade Simpson
    http://tooserious.net/forum/player_career.php?id=266&pcid=50066&name=Kade Simpson

We will accept bids consisting of
** pick only offers with 1 or 2 PSD picks
** a player plus pick package with the player being 27 or younger and averaging the following by position in 2018
defenders averaging 70 plus, forwards averaging 75 plus or mids averaging 80 plus (an exception may be provided if a player is aged under 21 and played at least 12 games in 2018)

This auction will clearly be of most interest to teams in the win-now mode, please make serious bids only as sub-par bids will be subject to ridicule.

Auction closes 930pm Monday 4th March

Less than a day to go in the Kade Simpson auction. No bids received as yet, clearly no one needs a D1/D2.

2018's 4th ranked SC defender, as durable as they come and would be a 99% chance to average 92 plus in 2019 (with 11 such seasons to date).

Do yourself a favour and bid a PSD pick or two.

Hhmmmm.........does Kade only play one more year, that's the question here, most likely but who knows.

    I'll bid some young'uns:

COLL DEF: Matt Scharenberg - 23 yrs old, last year 17 games at 81sc, due back 2nd half of the year from ACL.
GWS MID: Nick Shipley - 19 yrs old, Academy pick 2017 - last year just the two games as he develops mostly in the NEAFL.

    Hoppers bid:

    1. Jack Martin F/M = 24 yrs, former #1 pick. Averaged 81 last year for the Suns
    2. Nakia Cockatoo FWD = 22 yrs. Ceiling is huge for this former #10 pick BUT can he get & stay on the park?
Good hold for a rebuilding squad.
    3. The Hoppers MSD Rd #1 pick - estimate to be in the 12th - 15th range

The bid is rejected. I think if he was delisted that Kade would be picked well before the 4th round.

    Cheers Snoz.

As specified I would prefer PSD picks to players. Whilst talented I am not keen on Scharanbergs injury history. If I was going for a developing player it would be one with more exposed AFL form than Shipley and preferred best 15 for the Nuffery.

Good luck getting what you want.

I don't mind this bid mate, they fit my quest for forwards but for me there's too many question marks over their scoring capabilities, and Martin hasn't quite established himself as a quality SC scorer as yet. The MSD doesn't to enough to compensate. Not bad but want more :)

Can one make this sort of offer with players going both ways?
