    I wasn’t trying to use Chayce Jones as a loophole. Trust me, haha!

    Yeah I get it, his score didn’t really warrant it, but you kinda did loophole.
    And if you hadn’t have commented about it prior to lockout we’d be none the wiser.

    Why did you leave Myers onfield?

    You could’ve used someone like Roughead onfield instead. Out of position, it would’ve been tough to beat Chayce Jones. You may not have thought of it, but it seems you’ve loopholed legitimately by keeping Myers onfield because it’s allowable because he was originally named by the Bombers in their first 22.

    All within the rules it seems, so no problem.

    My team btw....
    Cam Guthrie starting in the backline looks pretty silly considering Geelong played in the early game! I didn’t find time to set my team before the first game.

    Gariwerd Cockies round 3, @ Cradle Mountain.

    Out: Masten, Steven.
    In: Guthrie, Wingard.

    D: Hurn, Laird, Hanley, CGuthrie (Masten - oop);
    M: Rockliff, JPK, Miller, NJones (Armitage);
    R: Bellchambers (ZClarke);
    F: Wallis, Jenkins, Walker, Lambert (Ratugolea);
    I: MCrouch, Wingard.

    I think we’ll struggle against the Devils.

    I’ll be completely honest about why I left Myers in...

    Because I ran through my team list, saw I had no other available mids, sighed, and just accepted that I was copping a 40 on my field.

    Didn’t think about playing an OOP because this is the only fantasy comp I play where I even have that option, so I forgot about it if I’m being truthful. Probably should have put Roughead in. I’m sure he would have scored 80 and got me to exactly the same spot.

    Ah, the beneficial affect of sunlight on what was once a murky canvas.

    @graeme
    As at the end of Saturday nights matches the Nuffers have managed 8/484.

    @TheTassieHawk - coorrect weight at 484/8. Have the cows at 1054/12 with Dunks, McLean and Fyfe to come. Think you will get closer than last year, so we can count that as a win to your drafting / trading. :)

    Misfits are 12/1127 with Weller, MacMillan and Daniel to come.
    Looks like we still stuffed selection, but not as badly, clearly the whipping works so will be repeated

    The irony of the above loophole conversation is not lost on me now that Jarryd Roughead is also a late out.

    If the bulldogs had been playing on Thursday night rather than the cats my understanding would be that you would have been forced to cover Myers with a f/m, bringing Roughead into f4 with no cover. Hence your team could have been shafted with a donut through no fault of your own. As such I think there should be an exception for players originally named - the Myers rule !!

    Based on those progress scores we will be doing well to register 4 figures and keep the margin under 300.

    It's not specifically mentioned in the rules, but by long precedent the team named in the round thread takes precedence over any other lack of machination.
    The solidity of that "rule" is what has enabled me to assist coaches who were unable to update the tsleagues seletion prior to lockout, but whom had managed to post thier team.
    Thus the reason I thumbed up sNoZ's post, if we don't have that precedent maintained we create a run of issues that are far more common in occurance.

    The Nuffers have calced their final score as 949, well adrift of the visitors @graeme

    After my win this week against That KI Guy, with a score of 1281, I'm 3rd on the ladder, 3rd, that has never happened in all my years of playing.

    Next week it could all change, but for now I will do my happy dance knowing I am 3rd for a week.

    Oh boy he looked good. And he'll get some more games too - genuinely excited at his prospects.
