Friday Teams have dropped. Some big outs and rookies on the bubble dropped.

There’s going to be some nerves before the extended benches are locked in.

What’s your concerns, strategy and trades this week.

Who is the best Trade in FWD, MID & DEF this week?

      Scrimshaw > Answerth

      Libba > Bont

Head says make just one downgrade and hold.
Gut says plant foot on accelerator.
      Ranked 2934.
      20 trades left.
6 rookies and Libba on field.

      TU - 1 downgrade
TD - paint fence and get Bont

Plant the foot, consolidate your rank before the byes.

Corbett or D Moore the better downgrade target this week?
      Both named on field.
      Both unknown JS.
      Both 123k.

      TU: Corbett
      TD: Moore

Both averaging 57 but I know nothing about either... assume Corbett has better JS but likely to score less as a Gold Coast forward. That said he missed a couple of very gettable shots last week that wouldve made a big difference.

Moore's prospects probably depend on the Hawks strategy going forward... if they decide its time to get some games into kids Moore looks alright.. Roughy being dropped might suggest that if he keeps playing ok his spot is probably safe...

I think I'm going Petrol to Moore this week....

EDIT: I've actually gone Butters to Answerth, Petrol to TKelly... The likelihood of the Danger out made me want to beef up the forward line a bit

Is Josh Dunkley (in the wet Ballarat) a smokey for the VC?

      Edit: 140 (36 disposals, 8 Tackles, 1 Goal)

      Bye Points V's Cash Gen:

Reviewing my on-field presence for the bye rounds with current team. With 4 rounds to go and a difficult rookie year, trades leading to the byes will be heavily waited towards balance (pts) - what strategy are you using and care to share?
Clearly I need to consider my Round 13 & 14 Mid structures.

      Luke Ryan, Yay or Nay?

7 rounds in, his numbers are compelling so far.

Lock ! - wont get him much cheaper than now. Has a great ceiling.

Has a great roll in the team, efficiency hasn't gone below 80% and low ownership.

At the last second I went double-downgrade with Collins and Lycett to Answerth and Corbett. All 3 forward rookies on the bubble were about the same.
This means I ditched the idea of getting Fyfe, Ryan or Kelly this week and have rolled again with Libba even though Dunkley seems to have taken his midfield slot. Basically going to have another week of pain, but will have $700k to go shopping with next week and hopefully Whitfield back by then.

Double downgrade this week to bank the cash - Petrol to Ainsworth via Burgess DPP. Opens back up Moore and burgess swaps. Balta to Moore.

Who to VC is the tough one - Neale/Macrae in the arctic conditions at the Rat' or Cripps/Grundy at the G' - Is Tim Kelly under the roof on Sunday a viable option for the C? Note I don't have Fyfe

Just about all Ruckman have scored their season highest score against Carlton - food for thought with VC and Cpt this week.

Edit: And Grundy no different 141.

      Mumford next week. Wink Wink!!

I think that the thread needs to be created in BLOGS rather than FANTASY SPORTS (AFL).

Can someone please try moving it ??

Do you have me on ignore? o_O

Any thread can be promoted to an article and the front page, so this should be there now as of my previous post.

Has been back playing a permanent midfield role for the last two weeks, compared to a role playing mostly forward that he had since the start of the season. Given how successful his recent midfield stint has been, I'd be staggered if the coach decided to revert him to a forward role now.
