So many passengers for the Noahs this week. Grats to the Dropbears @stowie FYI I’ll be out of the loop for a few weeks while on hols. @Len steering the good ship Neptune while I’m away.
Enjoy the break mate. I am sure the Noahs are in good hands provided the stewards lock the ship's Whiskey provisions well out of reach of the interim captain @Len ...........................
A tight finish at The Paddock saw the visiting Virgins @YAD69 trio of Logue, Simpson and Mundy rapidly chasing down a 29ers lead of 172 plus the tally of new recruit Dale Thomas. With the scores near deadlocked with a minute to go Daisy ignored the coach and team-mates instructions to drift forward and seal the match with a spiral torp off his left boot from a near impossible angle to stretch the margin to 28 points at the final siren. The euphoria of an otherwise ugly and underwhelming victory was shortlived as the 29ers players and coaches limited the post match celebrations to 2 six packs each ahead of the long road trip west to Walpole in Round 13.
With 3 rounds still to play the top 5 are locked into ORFFF finals, the Mt Thirsty side are all but a mathematical certainty to join them and the Noahs favourable run home will see them grab the 7th finals spot. Top 4 positions will as always be keenly fought with a number of upcoming head to head matches likely to shape the final ladder and Drouin a likely chance to sneak in if they can defeat strong opposition on the way home. The battle for 8th has the incumbent White Pointers and chasing Shags slugging it out for a debut finals appearance while the 29ers remain (barely) alive for another week. At the other end Nangkita has a stranglehold on pick 1 but has winnable games against 14th, 12th, and 13th so could be faced with some selection challenges as their season draws to a close. Apologies for the poor graphics quality of the following:-
Some Round 12 milestones - Walpole stretched their club record winning streak to 7 (equal 9th all time) - Jan Juc managed the 9th highest ever losing ORFFF score in their loss to Walpole - Maralinga and Rutherglen posted the 6th and 9th highest ever margins of victory in ORFFF history in dispatching Cockburn and Heard Island respectively - Maralinga's victory saw them notch back to back 400 point wins, while the Fugitives win was by their largest ever margin
Featuring in all the crap categories lately, will sack the coach at the end of the year and takeover myself
