The Shags are so keen that some of the guys decided to swim across to Neptune Island! Hopefully they make it

Selection hatchet has been swung as we scramble to muster 15 fit and floating kids for our elimination final vs the Shags.

In true @anthak style, the Shags have chosen to take the catastrophic route to the Neptunes.
Expecting somewhere between 10.5 and 13.75 Shags to rock up at our doorstep.
Smells like a walk in the park;)

    Noahs aspirants

Def - Laird, Duursma, Aliir, Haynes (Francis)
Mid - Gaff, Hunter, Sidey, Ross
    Ruck - Gawn (Preuss)
Fwd - Billings, Lynch, Walla, Fisher
    IC - Dawson, HH

Yeah it’s not the first time these guys have swum across the treacherous waters of the Indian Ocean and Great Australian Bight.
Thankfully Matty Parker was the only one who has been lost at sea this time, and he was only going to be an emergency anyway. We expect he detoured through his homelands of Perth and he’ll likely show up later.

Here’s our likely team for our first final.

    In: Nat Fyfe, Jack Lonie;
    Out: Will Setterfield, Jason Johannisen.

D: Jake Lloyd, Brandon Ellis, Jeremy McGovern, Luke Ryan (Jason Johannisen)
M: Dave Swallow, Matt Crouch, Nat Fyfe, Tom Liberatore (Will Setterfield)
    R: Ivan Soldo
F: Brent Daniels, Alex Neal-Bullen, Esava Ratugolea, Jack Lonie (Nick Blakey)
I: Angus Brayshaw, Jack Sinclair (Brayden Maynard)

    Notable absentees
Tom Mitchell (injured, wants to play, but too soon), Nakia Cockatoo (just out of rehab, not far away), Mason Cox (terribly out of form), Jaidyn Stephenson (family holiday), Jonathon Patton (we don’t know).

would be good if we could field a team for the first final... bad timing with no players to choose from.
We have a better team not playing than on field this week.
No Heppell, Kreuzer, Suckling, Fantasia, Hurley, Gibbs, Menegola, Hore, Buddy, Smith, Daniher

    Def: C Hooker, N Newman, J Trengove, H Shaw (J Rotham)
    Mids: J Polec, M Murphy, R Henderson, T Rockliff (M Guelfi)
    Rucks: P Ryder
    Fwds: J Cameron, B Brown, B Mihocek, J Westhoff
    I/C: D Clarke, B Fritsch

good luck @stowie lets hope its close and you don't blow me away

Take note AFL coaches, the way to beat Grundy has been discovered: triple team him!

Hopefully a winning strategy against the Ducks. Confident in the quality of our team, less confident about their consistency or the coach's ability at the selection table...

Boozers have an early lead in what is an underwhelming low scoring affair with the Dropbears.

Boozers 12-984 with only hooker D Clarke and trengove to come

Dropbears 9-550 but with their big hitters to come, danger Duncan Walters miles lobb and Z Clarke

Noahs take the lead early in the third over the Shags @anthak

    Noahs 951/11
    Vs
    Shags 601/9

Noahs certainly helped by a blue moon monster from Ross, hopefully enough to putty over a Fisher late out donut.
Shags rolling out some decidedly shit numbers with 5 scores under 62. Big names still to come though with Fyfe, Lloyd and Ryan hoping to raise the bar and make this a contest.

Now that I can get on...match over before the second game was finished with Witho's injuries and others on field turning into spuds.

Whatever is the opposite of the Duck Hunter game, that's the Woylies this week. Grats on your revenge from a few weeks ago thokash :p

Not gonna call it over just yet but definitely unfortunate for the Woylies.

    820/10 vs 998/11

Blakely, Merrett, Witts, Daniel and English vs Hanley, Hawkins, Ablett and Zaharakis + 178

    Good game @tyze1

I'm not sure who won between the Atoms and Fugitives yet but I reckon it'll be by less than 10 points!!!

Well done @That KI Guy you gave me a flogging in the end!

Good luck to all the remaining finalists.

I knew we’d made it before our timetable suggested we would, and we were clearly a class below all you others still fighting for the premiership.

    Cheers @anthak
Bloody unlucky Shags this week with injury spot fires all over the shop and swag of players going well under par.

Atoms book a week off by a bees knob and the Ducks tear Elmer the Woylie a new one.

Fugs live on and face the Noahs while the Boozers eliminate the Bears and move on to tackle the smarting Bettongs of Walpole.

    Good luck all.
