Midway through the first quarter in Battle of the Bugs 7 and it’s the hometown Sandgropers 235/2/117 leading @ddsaints Parasites 122/2/61 by 113 points. Docherty (117) in his return match was sensational in defence, with his link up play with Prestia (118) outstanding. Stack (55) and Newnes (67) battled bravely but couldn’t stem the tide.

Plenty to come in this one.

With Kreuzer going down for about 16 weeks, it looks like I should have asked for more for DeKoning.....;););)

Yeah, rookie error there mate. Based on the last 12 months Smugglers players play on average 3 quarters before sustaining a serious injury, so you could have taken me to the cleaners.

We’re approaching qtr time at the Sandpit and @ddsaints Parasites (308/4/77) have pulled out to a 14 point lead over the Sandgropers (294/3/98). A massive performance from Sidebottom (125) has got the visitors right back in this one.

Grenades 186/2, with new recruit Hoskin-Elliott producing a pleasing 96 point debut. The Prairie Dogs and @Batfink continue self-isolating, 0/0

Good to see a lot of Ex-Prospectors carving it up. Would have been even better if I kept them :(:(:(:(

Early in the last quarter at the Sandpit and the hometown Sandgropers (1088/12/91) have pulled out to a 269 point lead over @ddsaints Parasites (819/12/68). This ones pretty much over as a contest with Pakenham’s Gaff, R.Marshall & King needing to outscore McGovern, Darling & Hannebery by 270 points to get the win.

For Southern Cross, recruit Sam Jacobs (134) exceeded all expectations on debut whilst Devin Smith (105) reminded us of what we were missing last season. Fyfe (110) & Duncan (120) did as they do with only Bellchambers (101) and Todd Marshall (80) putting up a fight for the visitors.

Its pleasing to see the players in the two’s doing well with Milera (96), Crozier (115) and Ebert (104) all making cases for first team selection next week.

    Go ‘Gropers!

The consistent Grenades are back, with no super-stinkers and no real star performances resulting in 605/8/75.5 start. On the opposite side, the Prairie Dogs have been up and down like a yo-yo to be 676/9/75.1. It's game on with a couple of matches to go! @Batfink

The Buffaloes have jumped out to a strong lead but with plenty left still to be played in this one, the W is still up for grabs

Yep, that self isolation and quarantine has impacted some of the PDogs, hopefully the remaining players can pick up the slack. Game on.

    HOT GAME ALERTTTT!!!

1 game left before lockdown, Grenades 961/12/80.1 with a Gresham injury unlikely to alter the season, @Batfink and the PDogs 952/12/79.3. Hore, Kelly, Harmes + 9 vs Sheppard, Yeo and Oliver = game on!
