Avengers a little battered this week, but are looking forward to the Bozzers game, at least we'll get a drink! Black Swamp (Round 6) Wilkie Tarrant H Clark Hardwick - Clurey Viney Duckwood Bont Higgins - De Boer J Cameron C Brown Hayward S Hill - C Jones Mumford - no emg Young Mayne - Jonas The 29ers face the Ducks with the season already over but the prospect of an upset win provides motivation against the Jan Juc side @thokash Shane Edwards has decided to take the month off for family reasons and JDG is out for a while he quarantines and the duo are replaced by debutants Hayden Young and Jarrod Cameron. Clurey, De Boer, Jones and Jonas are emergencies for this week while Zaharakis will be the sole senior player in the seconds.
A tight game at Neptune Island NIN 11/943 (85.7) leads MCG 8/700 (87.5) Noahs being led marvellously by Gawn's 153 and Greenwoods 126 but some disappointing scores, notably a 37 to Ross. Mole Creek took advantage of the Thursday game to loop in Rayner's score of 95, and Ridley continued his amazing form with an 111 but the team look to have erred not giving a debut to Rankine who scored 111 as well!
Heard Island Shags, round 6 out: Jeremy McGovern, Nick Blakey, Jake Carlisle in: Ivan Soldo, Jon Patton, Nat Fyfe
A couple of those outs played well in the reserves and might find themselves back in the ones next week
Keen for that mid season draft - Houli on sabbatical, Hannebery and Stringer injured last week, and this week Narkle, Tom McDonald, Mitch Robinson and Marc Murphy all didn't finish their game - hopefully nothing too serious in there. No clue if I got the W this week, I was a dummy and forgot to loophole, but still even with all that going on it's still better than my crap real SC season!
The Fugitives stand alone at the top of the ORFFF ladder after defeating the White Pointers by 31 points to make it 6 wins from 6 matches. 2nd placed Mole Creek and 3rd placed Jan Juc both copped their first loss of season 2020 being defeated by Neptune Island and Black Swamp respectively, with the 29ers defensive masterclass helping them to spring an upset and take possession of the Unofficial ORFFF Championship for the first time. The Ducks effort of 1115 was their lowest all time ORFFF score, due in part to a botched loophole with GAJ and his 97 points for Round 6 sitting unused as a forward emergency. At the other end of the ladder the the Boozers joined the 29ers in breaking through for their first win of the year, with Mt Thirsty besting the Avengers while the Whales suffered their 6th straight loss of 2020, and 7th consecutive defeat dating back to 2019, as they lost to Maralinga. Heard Island, Drouin and Walpole were the other Round 6 winners defeating Nangkita, Port Lincoln and Useless Loop respectively.
Fugitives very lucky, injuries hitting hard and have fallen over the line the last 3 weeks - many ass clenching moments - I'd even thought I'd lost 2 of them. At least there is footy to be had
