@Tomster it's gotta be hard to take after winning it all last year to only being able to field half a team this year.
    Keep fighting bloke!

After being treated to some fantastic football in recent weeks the fans flocked to the non-lockdowned Crater. What unfolded in front of them from the moment they arrived was nothing short of an epic. The Barracudas were in town and despite the visitors hot form, the home crowd faithful were quietly confident knowing they were able to outperform their rivals in the week previous. When news filtered through that Jarrod Berry & Dayne Zorko had been held up at customs expectations were soaring.

The first cracks started to appear for the Buffaloes at the selection table. With 21 fit and available players to select from the management team were clearly overwhelmed and pulled the wrong reins at the wrong time. To focus on the negatives though in such a mammoth contest would be to do a diservice to both teams. Serengeti have built there squad on being able to consistently score 1350+ for an extended period of time and so to score 1416 but not quite get over the line the only thing left to do is tip your hat to the victors and say well done.

Notable efforts for the visitors were highlited by the returned Bachar Houli (147) and Jake Lloyd (141) but in all honestly when you put up a score of 1488 while missing two of your best performers, the strength of this whole squad was on show and a statement made to the rest of the competition. That statement has resulted in the Barracudas shooting to the top of the standings and it would be a brave punter that would part with some hard earned and back against them from here.

For the Buffaloes, all is not lost. With Korumburra & Nuytsland fading there is still a glimmer of hope that this weekends epic will prove to just be the undercard to the main event on grand final day. Even without that though the boys will hold their heads high knowing they put in a performance worthy of the high expectations, offer the victors a hearty well done and congratulations and look positively ahead to the future.

    Seriously well done @YAD69 !

    Bulls Buffs Update @wrightbrendan
Mystery surrounds how many Buffs will be making the trek from the Serengeti for this mid week clash as they look to lock in a top 2 berth.

Ridley, Merrett, Parish and Keays all prominent early for the Buff but will Kelly, Henry, Langdon join Phillips in offering bagels to the locals?

Ryan with 4 and Barrass taking care of Daniher the highlights for the Bulls which have wandered onto the track so far.

    Bulls Buffs Update @wrightbrendan

Its effectively all over at Mill Park with the Buffs unable to muster enough players to challenge the Bulls who will amble to victory.

    SFB 963/13/74 + Maynard & McCluggage
SB 815/13/62 + Elliott & Langdon (not in the 26 man pies squad)

It’s a slaughter at the Dino Dome with Hughenden showing no mercy to a depleted visiting Banchang. However with 4 players released from quarantine Banchang could yet fall over the line....

Update from The Stadium sees the visiting Bulls 1/119, with Rockliff coming off the Interchange bench scoring all the points, trailing the Barcrawlers, who have posted 4/333. The main contributor for the home team was young 21yo Davies-Uniacke who posted 129, his highest score to date.

Progress report from The Stadium sees the visiting Bulls fire up and get right back into this contest. A double prong effort saw them thwart Banchang's offence thru Ex Barcrawler, Barrass 112, down back, while Ryan 100, up front provided the attack they needed.
Dahlhaus 101 had his best game for Banchang for quite some time.

Scores at the break see Banchang 6/503/83.8 leading Staghorn Flat 5/454/90.8

The latest score from The Stadium sees the visitors from Staghorn Flat powering away and have finished the day on 9/794/88.2, thanks to their mop haired old bloke in the middle, David Mundy, who posted 138, his highest score since May last year and leaving the Barcrawlers sitting on 7/567/81.
Although Lycett def Lobb in The BIG TAP 76-61 to at least give Banchang some good news.

In a very uninspiring day of football at The Stadium, Staghorn Flat have increased their lead over the home team and are in total control at 13/1140/87.7 to Banchang's 10/788/78.8.
The only shining lights came from the Bulls Whitfield 121 and the Barcrawlers Dawson with 113.
Still to play for the Visitors....Weller and McCluggage
and for the Home team....Collins Answerth Lyons Robinson and Greenwood.

The Sandgropers @eagle_eyed are on 966/13 74.3 to the Barracudas on 988/12 82.3

It's a low scoring scrappy affair that will go down to the wire.

The home team have Bailey and Starcevish to come while the visitors have Zorko, Berry and Robertson (yeah.... nah, no chance).
