Is this the trade you mean? Sarah Island trade JPK, Tarrant, Long, PSD P36 and their R1 MSD pick to Woy Woy for SPS and P27 and P45 That would make 44 still Woy Woy's and 45 yours? I can't find one for 44, though my detective powers are waning
Yeah, sorry should update the numbers in that trade. There was an issue with the original draft order poster as I'd taken the ladder, and therefore reverse ladder draft order, from R15 originally, rather than R16, because although we usually have three weeks of finals, last year due to the mess that it was, we only had two. This being the case some positions in the draft had changed, and therefore the corresponding picks that were traded. So Woy Woy's R3 pick that was traded to me in that trade you quoted should read as P44, rather than P45. Likewise his P27, should read as P26.
Ok ta, I fixed the first part, and thought I'd got all affected trades but missed that alteration. Sorted now, next question is why Johnson and not Gumby, have I missed another one?
Because Gumby traded his round 3 pick to me (P44), he didn't trade directly down the order (I mean he'll have to take his requisite 6 picks at some point, but that's beside the immediate point). In short: - Johnson finished one place ahead of Gumby in last year's final standings. Therefore on a reverse ladder order Johnson would pick one place after Gumby. - Gumby traded his R3 pick to me. Therefore in R3, Johnson would pick one pick after me. Which is now.
