Round 2 – AFL Round 2 Date: Thursday 25th March 2021 THEME - Stupid Injury Round Ever suffered serious injury trampolining? How about spearing yourself with a garden stake? Breaking a wrist tripping over a fence? Breaking ankles jumping off a fence? Breaking wrists jumping off a ute? Hurting yourself by tripping over your own suitcase? Or by getting hit by a golf cart? Or just being dumb enough to try firewalking? Of course we normal people would never do such things. But in the rarefied world populated by elite AFL footballers, these hazards are virtually unavoidable. So this round we all hope that none of our ORFFA teams' players inflict upon themselves a stupid injury ... and please, please - just don't try firewalking. Brown for me. Lucky I went overboard on defenders in the draft. Harmes and Tarrant out for lengthy spells and Bevo won't give JJ a run. Now I discover Lachie Jones injured himself in the twos and will be out for 4.

Nuffers Round 2 vs the Warriors @terry IN bangkok Matt Rowell's injury sees him depart the side and despite Brent Daniels return the Nuffers are 1 short this week with Chayce Jones an unused Medical Sub and Jack Petrucelle dropped in the AFL this week leaving us without an out of position ruck. After an entertaining Round 1 game with the Warriors in 2020 this year may be an easier hitout for the home side.
Nuffers have reached 12/861, hopeful of pushing 1050 with Serong and Daniels to play in the late Sunday match to finish off the week's efforts.
Lacklustre cows have their hands more than full against JC's Battlers. Leading (?) 458/ 7 to 431/5 but not at all confident (E&OE). Great for bar takings at the Bulls Hit Tav though - maybe there is a silver lining.
I think the Cows playing today have been a bit better, mate. And, if there's one thing I know about the Battlers, it's that we can never be confident.
Well done JC, clearly the better team. It's a bit early to say the cows are eyeing up the MSD, or is it?
Great sportsmanship from the Warriors @TerryinBangkok to play with 13.5 with unused emergencies on several lines after the Nuffers turned up with 14 fit players themselves. The home side were deserved 14 point winners despite their disadvantage and both sides have been raucously mingling post match in the tiki bar, reliving the ups and downs of a contest which provided full value to the home fans.
Thanks, graeme. You were a bit unlucky with Fyfe getting KO'ed, though. Who knows what might have happened otherwise. While part and parcel of it, injuries are a real shit in this caper. Take young Budarick, for example. Having a career-best SC game and then does what looks like being an ACL.
In other news, Spelunkers spud it right up. The gap between our best 6 or so and the rest is vast! 7 players get 780 odd, the other 8 get 359...
