    Apologies for the delay..

    Waikikamoocow 1182 defeated Nareewillock 921

The Cows win as expected, Bailey (124), Mitchell (110) and Newman (106) led the charge, Papley’s 29 the lowlight but not alone in underperforming, Graeme will be looking for the key to firing this lot up for finals.
For the Nuffers Hill appears to have remembered what footy is all about, Keath continues his reliability, Gulden, Dow and Rowell all offering hope whilst CCJ’s 5 is better than some recent ruck scores it lacked magnitude.

    Gundagai 1343 defeated Gariwerd 1243
This game was closer than one might have thought a month or so ago, ant has the cockies up and running whilst snoz’s powerhouse is developing cracks of inconsistency.
The Hoppers had 7 century makers led by Grundy (126) and Mills (121) while Bilings Martin and Cripps underwhelmed.
The Cockatoos had 4 raise the bat, Miller’s 153 was the standout amongst a group that mostly played to their level, lack of a playing ruck cost him a realistic chance of a win.

Wineglass Bay 1109 defeated by Lovely Banks 1197
Another good contest, this time between two teams at similar stages of development both packed with draftees who for the most part did their owners proud.
The Packers had Lynch (126) and Dunstan (118) salute while Lukosius, Keays, Hewett and Daicos all excited.
For the Lilacs Parish attempted to win it all on his own with a mammoth 190 making Amon (126) and Stewart (107 look small by comparison.

Marble Bar 1340 defeated Larrikin Lagoon 920
Predictable outcome given where the two teams sit in their build, Marble Bar’s MSD pickup McCarthy led the Misfits with 120.
The Lefties had no 100s, but solid performances across the board from the youth is no doubt encouraging for mollydookers across the nation.

Iron Knob 1017 defeated by Venus Bay 1145
The Cods played with 2 OOP defenders and one short in the mids, Macrae, Darling and de Goey tried hard to get them over the line but too much left to too few.
The Vultures had 5 players scoring 3 digits, but the depth would be a concern for Fitzy with some barely adequate performances from many.

Whitsunday 1301 defeated Mount Beauty 1245
Big performance from the Warriors, age apparently doesn’t weary Dixon whilst the younger players performed extremely well with great signs for future years.
For the Ugtlies Walsh and Petracca played starring roles but age apparently does weary those with a sidebum.

Charlies Opening 1269 defeated Birdsville 1064
Spelunker’s Sean Darcy provided 193 of the 205 point margin in a stellar performance, whilst the remaining cavemen were as inconsistent as you would expect given the sides age profile.
The Battlers also have a very solid youth brigade and were ably represented by Ryan and Cerra, but unfortunately this was a down week for the Hipwood rollercoaster and Miers is all heart and no ruck.

Foul Bay 1517 defeated Cradle Mountain 1228
The Chickens had a stellar 10 of 15 score 100 or more, led by Dangerfield’s lazy 184, that’s going to be hard to beat, and so it proved.
The Devils homegrown stars in Steele, Marshall and Membrey would have helped console Dean, though injury to Naughton is a concern as finals approach

Wagga Wagga 1195 defeated by Nowhere Else 1293
Lycett, Swallow, Ridley and Langdon all saluted for Lenny, the defence played admirably but he was badly let down by his forward line (like many of us this year).
Dave’s 1293 came from 14 players onfield with 6 over 100, May, Lyons and Atkins the best, had Burgess been named IC emergency instead of defence he would have ended up 8 points shy of 1400.

So concludes the wrap for Round 13 FA, Round 16 AFL

    Next week we have;

Gariwerd vs Waikikamoocow (Finals impacts for both)
Lovely Banks vs Nareewillock (Household Cup)
Larrikin Lagoon vs Gundagai (Nothing to see here)
Venus Bay vs Wineglass Bay (Battle of the Bays)
Mount Beauty vs Marble Bar (Finals impacts for both)
Birdsville vs Iron Knob (Can the Battlers beat the Knobs still standing?)
Cradle Mountain vs Whitsunday (Is this Dean’s legup to finals or does Terry take another scalp?)
Nowhere Else vs Charlies Opening (Tight game likely between two building teams)
Wagga Wagga vs Foul Bay (Can Lenny get both his Waggas to turn up, or will the Chickens power on?)

Good read - thank you Len.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, one thinks Dean will hit back hard this week - no mucking about from here on in and we don't expect our kids to be able to do it two weeks in a row.

Cheers @Len for the wonderful write up, Indeed cracks are a foot as injuries take their toll. Looking forward to meeting up with @That KI Guy for a pre game beer or ten this weekend!

To the point and accurate @Len . The cows would have to click to top the cockies. I am already reading accounts of the kids and the magoos in anticipation of next years PSD.

      Nicely done @Len
      Spanked in two leagues, ugh.
Appreciate the positive spin on my mob but unfortunately our development has been pretty scatter gun.
Not entirely sure we know what we’re doing in this never ending story of a rebuild.

Great write up @Len… I’m happy with where we are at, and there is being to be consistency in our inconsistency.

@DaveH ‘s men will be a good battle… just depends which version of each team turns up

      Well………Bugger!!!
From the Highs of 1,400 & a euphoric win to a defeat at the hands of a very …… crafty opponent.
Hoping for a quick bounce back this week.
No Song this week :-/ Well played Sir TiB!
Len, please, no more of this type of reporting content from you (can’t fault the penmanship though) :)
