ORFFA Round 16 (AFL Round 19) Random tattoo round Footballers love a bit of ink. Some footballers REALLY love a bit of ink. From necks to knees (and that's just at Richmond), glorious striking skin-based images continue to appear and multiply across the mundane canvas that is the human body. One wonders perhaps how these wonderful pieces of art will look when these players retire and their canvases settle into a more comfortable post-footy life (and shape). But until then, let us marvel in the fast moving artworks that grace our footy fields each day. The Nuffers could be a decent chance to break their season duck against the already piss poor Battlers fielding 13.5 this week (though we might get another .5 of a player if someone gets a call up as the medi-sub and gets on the ground, lol). @chris88 - given the theme of the round, if you do break the duck, maybe the Nuffers could celebrate with some ink?
In the first quarter of the game against reigning premiers the Gundagai Grasshoppers, Cradle Mountain Devils captain Scott Pendlebury suffered a lower leg injury. It has been confirmed that Pendlebury has broken a bone in his leg which will end his season in a playing capacity however he will remain heavily involved with the CMD team in an unofficial assistant coaching role. Just before three quarter time Cradle Mountain 971/11 hold a narrow lead against Gundagai Grasshoppers 951/11 Four Devils have registered tons, defenders D Rich (132) and J Lever (114) along with midfielders Z Jones (140) and J Steele (109). Three Grasshoppers have reached triple figures, defenders W Powell (104) and J Weitering (102) whilst midfielder C Oliver (143) has been best afield to date. Still to play: Cradle Mountain – defender M O’Connor, midfielder J Hopper and both players off the interchange T Nankervis and D Heppell. @snoz's Gundagai Grasshoppers – defenders J Dawson and M Blicavs along with forwards J Stringer and H Himmelberg. In the pre-season the two teams executed a trade which has been beneficial for both teams with defender O’Connor joining the Devils and forward Harry Himmelberg joining the Hoppers. How these two players perform against their old team’s could be pivotal to the final result.
Some fun results in the second half of the field. Big ups to @chris88 for the Nuffers getting off the donut. And well done to @That KI Guy for herding the cows into the abyss.
Can't believe we cracked the 1000, and won. Despite injuries and poor selections -Dow and Dumont on the bench for example. This is a positive step forward
