Round 4 – AFL Round 4 Date: Thursday 7th April THEME – COVID Round In a landmark move, every player participating in the ORFFA's COVID Round will in fact be presented with a small case of COVID to enjoy privately or share with others. When pressed for comment by the football media on what on earth they were thinking, ORFFA officials muttered several unintelligible responses from behind brightly coloured face masks. Game tonight, so remember to get whatever portion of your team might be appropriate to name named. My one person to name will be Mr Marshall, who will be named in the forward line. And with Charlie Dixon's injury becoming somewhat more long term, hopefully he keeps getting a game and rewards his coach with scores between 25 and 105.
The Lilacs are being hosted by Foul Bay this weekend and we have got new masks to wear. Some where not sure about wearing them but as coach I think they are perfect for the team
Lilacs only have 2 players in tonight's game - they are marked in red DEF - Jonas, Moore, Stewart, Wilkie (EMG) Rampe MID - Parish, Duncan, Amon, Lipinski (EMG) O'Driscoll RUC - Wright FWD - Heeney, Larkey, Bolton, Taberner (EMG) Stengle INT - Switkowski, Pickett (EMG) McLean
A few cows line up tonight against the Nuffers. With any luck we might have 15 players this week, and not have to rely on a medical emergency playing three quarters of a game. Early selections: D - R Burton F - T Sparrow I - R Bonner Playing online bridge tonight so unable to react to any late outs. Best of luck @chris88
Spelunkers team, unless there are some miracles at selection, we will be playing with 13 We don't need masks down where we live, so it will be interesting to see how the players cope with a further lack of oxygen

Cradle Mountain stumbled out of the blocks to be 234/4 at the end of Friday, whereas the Whitsundays Warriors had a blistering start to be 602/6 at the same stage of proceedings. The two sides were fairly evenly matched from that point on, however the damage had been done and the Warriors were never challenged, going on to record a comfortable 141 point win over the Devils. @TerryinBangkok well done on the Warriors triple figure victory. Unofficial scores Cradle Mountain Devils 1180 lost to Whitsundays Warriors 1321 Both sides had four sub 60 scores however the Warriors won the ton count 6-4 and had the best three players afield. Whitsunday’s sole ruckman Jarrod Witts (148) polled the 5 Les W Medal votes despite competing against three ruck eligible players for the Devils. The Warriors next two best players had each averaged less than 75 points per game in the first 3 ORFFA rounds but rediscovered their best form against CMD – Justin McInerney (137 / season average of 54) and Isaac Smith (129 / 71). After three rounds Warriors M1 Travis Boak was averaging 146 points per game and leading the ORFFA league best and fairest with 13 votes, he scored 117 against the Devils to be unofficially sixth best on ground to just miss out on being in the votes, one point behind teammate James Harmes (118). The Devils four tons were registered by a duo of veterans in S Pendlebury (110) and D Rich (105) along with a pair of Saints – J Steele (125) and J Gresham (106). Cradle Mountain’s four lowest scoring players combined for 149 points, only one point more than Warriors ruck Witts scored individually. It is the second round in a row that the Devils game has been won by the team entering the round with the inferior win-loss record. The Devils and Warriors each have a balanced ledger with two wins and two losses, however the Devils retain a higher position on the ladder than the Warriors due to their season 2022 points for advantage.
COVID has been reviewed and found wanting. COVID round has been reviewed and can be found in the other thread.
