Well they do say great minds think alike, and fools seldom differ. The unfortunate part for you is that I fall into the second category
Needs to be Saturday 1st game mate, for overall fairness, and not just to @snoz, getting home and team sorted before Friday's game is often a challenge for many, esp those with kids..
What do people think regarding the lockout? I agree that with international coaches we should make it user friendly for them as well. Saturday morning lockouts or even no lockouts at all?
No lockout is pretty radical.. oh wait, isn't that Supercoach As said above I think the 1st Saturday game is fair to everyone
are we going to move to an emergency for everyline instead of 4 out of 5 i think it makes sense if we now have the option @stripey
When I joined FL it was differentiated by its difficulty - 18 teams, 26 man squads were a real appeal as it placed a premium on good drafting. Subsequent ORF iterations either had reduced team numbers, larger squads, or both. The move within FL to join those homogenised products disappoints me. If you want to play in a league with big squad numbers, there are choices - hell, I think you can go to a 30 man squad league. This is not blackmail, but should FL continue to betray its origins it will have lost its appeal for me. As Hornsy was want to note "just saying."
Hey mate, happy to throw everything on the table at year end. I’ve tried to follow the path of least resistance the last couple of years as y'all started turning cranky. I'm happy to leave it at 3 emergencies plus if it wasn’t for these pesky early byes we wouldn’t be changing list sizes either. Poor drafting or good drafting, it's a bit $#%* hard to predict which teams are going to share bye rounds and I would prefer to only have to take a break over the main bye rounds.
And there were a few among us that thought we wouldn't get this draft complete in time... only 4 coaches to go
This may be a silly question, so feel free to tell me so if that's the case. Are we going to have a post Draft Trade Period? I know there was one scheduled, but the draft wasn't completed before that time elapsed. Happy either way, but just thought I'd check
What a silly question. Nah normally we would but I'm assuming that as we only just finished the draft it was somewhat forgotten about. We've never had a trade period (other than around the MSD of course) after the season got underway though so probably safe to say no.
A question: Who is managing the Coulta Couldabeens? Team changes between rounds one and two indicate an understanding of the byes, and did those autopicks perform! Have a look for yourselves. I've got no problem about being by a better team in a round. But I'd like to know is @Bearfly running the team notwithstanding his hissy fit during the PSD, or is someone else pulling the strings. If it's the latter we should know for future reference.
Hi Graeme Following the PSD I took it upon myself as Commish to at least ensure @Bearfly had a team selected for Round 1 to ensure integrity of the competition. Having not seen any signs of life from @Bearfly this team was also updated for Round 2. I obviously hope he returns and takes over the reins as this is just a temporary measure.
Thanks @stripey for confirmation that what I had hoped would happen did in fact happen. Agree of the need for a long term solution. If you need help in selecting Bearfly's team some weeks (e.g., against the Bullfrogs ) just reach out as I am happy to help.
FYI, I have actually logged on for both rounds this season and set my teams the way I wanted them - just because I don't come in and dribble manure doesn't mean I haven't been here. But now in all your wisdom you've decided to take my team away from me - just remember, I am one of the small group of original coaches here, but you've decided to treat me as a blow in, well F U fella - shaft me in the draft and now rip my team away because you claim there's been "no sign of life" from me despite the fact that I have logged in several times over the first 2 rounds
