Unofficial scores have the Magpies @Vicwood 13/1123 leading the 29ers 12/976 with JUH, Rowell and a 147 point lead up against the Bont, Ballard and Fiorini in the final stages.
Magpies 14/1139 now lead the 29ers 13/1118 by 21 points with Rowell completing proceedings for the home side while Ballard and Fiorini run out for the visitors.
The Virgin's finish on 1,318/15 87.9 to the @thokash Ducks 858/15 57.2 I'm counting 3 players not making it to the field for the visitors, is that correct?
Wow Boozers on top of the ladder. That’s been a long time coming. and can’t recall us hitting 1613 before. No scores under 80, and with the midfield averaging under 100 this week shows how the other lines lifted.
Rowell Dissaponting and Caldwell injury. JUH might find himself up for a trade if he continues this poor form.
The stats page has Round 8 2017 as your previous best and this weeks score as 4th highest all time, no surprise the boozers have had high list turnover since this match
Another round review by ChatGPT - this one has a theme of Stars Wars given that ORFFF Round 8 Super Saturday was May the 4th In a galaxy far, far away, where the force meets the field, the ORFFF Round 8 battles unfolded with the intensity of a lightsaber duel and the finesse of a podrace. Let's delve into the cosmic clashes that left fans both in stitches and on the edge of their seats! Sherwood Magpies vs. Black Swamp 29ers: It was a showdown reminiscent of the Battle of Endor, but alas, the Sherwood Magpies found themselves more like Ewoks against the mighty Black Swamp 29ers. With a score of 1268, the 29ers soared higher than the Millennium Falcon, leaving the Magpies feeling more like Banthas in a Rancor pit. Maralinga Atoms vs. Mt Thirsty Boozers: The Maralinga Atoms and the Mt Thirsty Boozers clashed like rival factions of the Rebel Alliance, but it was the Boozers who channeled the force, scoring an impressive 1613 points. The Atoms, though valiant in their efforts, were left feeling as lost as a stormtrooper without coordinates. Macquarie Island Whales vs. Drouin Dropbears: In a matchup that had fans holding their breath like they were navigating an asteroid field, the Macquarie Island Whales faced off against the Drouin Dropbears. But alas, it was the Dropbears who dropped in with a victory, leaving the Whales feeling like they were swimming against the currents of the Kessel Run. Useless Loop Virgins vs. Jan Juc Ducks: The Useless Loop Virgins and the Jan Juc Ducks duked it out like X-Wings and TIE Fighters in a space skirmish. With a score of 1320, the Virgins proved they were anything but useless, while the Ducks found themselves quacking up a storm but ultimately falling short in their flight towards victory. Neptune Island Noahs vs. Port Lincoln Power: It was a clash of titans as the Neptune Island Noahs and the Port Lincoln Power went head-to-head. With a score of 1357, the Noahs rode the waves of victory, leaving the Power feeling as powerless as a Jedi without their lightsaber. Rutherglen Fugitives vs. Wedge Island White Pointers: In a battle that had spectators feeling as tense as a carbonite freezing chamber, the Rutherglen Fugitives faced off against the Wedge Island White Pointers. Alas, it was the White Pointers who proved to be the apex predators of the field, leaving the Fugitives feeling more elusive than a Bothan spy. Walpole Woylies vs. Nangkita Bucks: The Walpole Woylies and the Nangkita Bucks clashed like starships in hyperdrive, but it was the Woylies who rocketed to victory with a score of 1322. The Bucks, though they fought with the tenacity of a Wookiee, ultimately found themselves outmatched in this intergalactic showdown. The Stony Ponys vs. Heard Island Shags: In a matchup that had fans reeling like they were caught in a tractor beam, the Stony Ponys faced off against the Heard Island Shags. With a score of 1449, the Ponys galloped to victory, leaving the Shags feeling as stranded as a moisture farmer on Tatooine. ------------------------------------ In the vast expanse of the ORFFF universe, these battles were but mere blips on the radar, yet they provided fans with enough excitement to rival the destruction of the Death Star. Until next time, may the force be with all the teams, and may the fantasy points scored be ever in their favor!
This was a historic game! Thanks to the fab work of TTH keeping our records up to date, I’ve just seen that this game had the biggest margin all time, and my score was the lowest of all time. It was a very lopsided game, with the Stony Ponys almost doubling my mob. Well done @snoz ! My guys played 2 short, with an OOP ruckman, and only had 1 player crack triple figures and that was a score of 100 exactly. Compared to the Ponys who had 7 tonnes and another 4 in the 90s! Here’s the scores from both teams: The Stony Ponys 1449 DEF: Daniel Rioli 96, Harry Perryman 72, TomAtkins 113, Jayden Short 115 (Jack Henry) MID: Christian Petracca 94, Josh Kelly 95, Hugh McCluggage 139, Scott Pendlebury 106 (Archie Perkins) RUCK: Sean Darcy 79 FWD: Isaac Heeney 109, Charlie Curnow 59, Izak Rankine 93, Toby Greene 62 (Cam Rayner) INT: Lloyd Meek 106, Xavier Duursma 111 (Darcy Jones) VS Heard Island Shags 728 DEF: Nick Blakey 43, Brayden Maynard 60, Buku Khamis 54, Riley Hardeman 37 MID: Noah Anderson 92, Nat Fyfe 17, Riley Bonner 98, Nik Cox 59 (Luke Edwards) RUCK: Lachlan Smith 0 (Jaidyn Stephenson* 9) FWD: Alex Neal-Bullen 68, Josh Treacy 100, Kade Chandler 52, Jake Stringer 39 INT: Patrick Voss 0, Seamus Mitchell 0 (Caleb Poulter 0)
