Final round of the H&A Top 8 is set but a few matchups might shape finals. Good luck to all, esp Drop Bears and Ponies as they fight out fourth spot.
Late Dropbears dropping NWM, Sheezel, Florent, Mac Andrew (Balta) Brayshaw, Naicos, Rozee, Bruhn (Zac Bailey) Samson Ryan Mason Wood, Jack Higgins, Shai Bolton, Luke Jackson (Darcy Wilson) Darcy Moore, Ginnivan (Chol)
Noahs a few soldiers down this week, hopefully we can hold on and secure the minor premiership. Def - Clark, Newman, Duncan, Amon (Maynard) Mid - Libba, Warner, Viney, Lloyd (Parker) Ruck - Gawn Fwd - Moore, Flanders, Fyfe, Daniher (Gresham) IC - Dempsey, Sweet (Laverde)
Heading into 3rd quarter and Swampies hold a decent lead on averages. 29ers 778/8 (97) vs Noahs 927/10 (92) @TheTassieHawk
The visiting 29ers 14/1245 lead the home side 13/1157 @That KI Guy by 88 points. The Noahs need Dylan Moore and Karl Amon to overhaul Blake Hardwick plus 88 in order to stretch their current win streak to an all time ORFFF second best ever 15 games.
Wow what a finish to the season. Noah’s lose in the last game. Boozers win a nailbiter by 6 points in the last game and snare the minor premiership by a lousy 5pts total score over the course of the entire season. must be the closest finish for top spot.
Holy shitballs! That’s insane. Grats on the win @TheTassieHawk and well done on the minor premiership @leematty1
As indicated above the final home and away round of 2024 featured 3 matches decided by 6, 10 and 20 points which collectively decided the minor premiership, the top 4 and the Virgins elimination final opponent in dramatic style. In terms of the 2024 Dangerfield Medal the 29ers fearless leader Marcus Bontempelli was officially named as the 2024 medalist securing successive medals but his first outright victory, while the Virgins Lachie Neale surged into second place to secure his 4th top two finish and 6th ever top 6 place to further the case of the inaugural drafts 20th pick as the top performer in ORFFF's first decade. Nothing could split the Dropbears Harry Sheezel and Virgins Zak Butters in equal 3rd place while the 29ers Tristan Xerri landed 5 votes to make it a trifecta of first time top 6 finishers in the 2024 top 5 and Drouin's phenomenal 3rd year player Nick Daicos rounded out the top half dozen to make it back to back finishes amongst the competitions elite level. For the first time ever in a feat that may never occur again the above resulted in 3 teams having each contributed a pair of Dangerfield Medal top 6 finishers in a single season. Amazingly this had only occurred twice in total across the previous 8 ORFFF seasons with the Shags 4th and 5th placed duo of Fyfe and Lloyd in 2019 and the Virgins first and equal 5th placed pair of Neale and Sicily in 2022 being the only prior examples. Congrats to the 2024 ORFFF finalists and thanks to all of the non-finalists for their efforts as you enjoy a deserved offseason break.
@leematty1 I expect that if you trade out at least 2 of your 100ppg average players it will give the others that remain a better chance of polling much better, if one is assuming there is consideration of individual honours ahead of team glory
