    Help me out here guys...

One 'game' of SC I really enjoyed was one that was run on here, where everyone had to start with the same team (using their partner/pet's account!). You could then trade to your heart's content and we'd track the winner from there. Really highlighted being engaged during the season rather than picking best at start.
It didn't run last year, I think not year before either.

Anyway, I was thinking of arranging a league again exactly that same way, but I couldn't quite remember all the rules of it, and a forum search has not helped me find it.
Does anyone else recall this and have a better memory than me exactly on how its constructed?

    We called it trading games.

Prior to round 1 we selected a cookie cutter side then the choice of C, VC and emergency and trades throughout the season saw the teams rise and fall throughout the season, showing usually that a top 1000 side was possible even when the majority of coaches were much lower down.

    Thanks!!
    What other rules were there?
How did you determine the starting side, it was based on most popular selections if I recall correctly, but with a few tweaks to make the budget fit?

Yes (Cookie cutter is the term used for the most popular selections) plus we didn't tweak after round 1 teams dropped so normally 1 or 2 players were a round 1 sub or donut.

For anyone reading this and interested...

A slightly different type of way to play SuperCoach

You'll need to get permission to use your partner/pet's account, since you can't have more than one SC registration...

The idea here is we all start with the same team. Everyone has the exact same 23 players to start, and through Round 1.
You can swap players between starting lineup and the bench, and select your own C, V and Es...
But its' only after Round 1 is when the trading can start.
And to be clear, that's not after this Opening Round nonsense either; its after the official Round 1.

So the premise of this game is that you get to show off how great you are at trading and decision making once the season is underway, rather than just finding the best team to copy at outset.

I'll also aim to do a round up report after each week of the season.

To reiterate - YOU MUST SELECT THE EXACT SQUAD AS BELOW.

This won't change even after teams are named. You get late news Travaglia is out with a hammy? Tough, same for everyone.
How did I pick the team? Most popular on SC; each of the team are selected by at least 25% of other SC participants. Think O'Driscoll should have been in there? Draper beat him to last MF slot. (edit - but you can get an early advantage by trading him in after week 1 as an early season POD)

    League Code - 368826
16 team league, H2H starts round 2, finals are Round 21-24.

    Cheers @ike2112

I would suggest considering an open league in case you get 10-100 entries, and posting it on social media and/or other supercoach sites as a way of generating interest. If organising or Adminning the concept your main issue is proving which teams are compliant as at the end of round 1, which usually means they all have the same team value so you should post the remaining salary cap figure in case someone selects the wrong Allen/Daicos/Draper/Macrae/Smith in their team and ends up with a different value.

Good on you for getting this going again!
I’d love to play, but I don’t really have time for a second team this season. I’m seriously considering entering my main team in this comp.

TheEtruscans have joined the league, remaining salary $186,300
Note, it's eaxctly the same players drafted, but selected in different roles/positions etc, this was allowed in the prior edition, but is not explictly addressed in your post..
