ORFFA Round 4 - Bye Bye Byes (not you, NSync) Round As the AFL conducts its traditional South Australian gathering, ORFFA teams and their coaches are having their own celebrations by waving bye bye to the byes of the first few weeks of season 2025. Full slates of nine games are now the norm for all rounds left in the ORFFA season (bar that pesky Round 11 just before mid-season). So no more checking the bottom of each week's AFL fixture to check which gaps need to be filled in our squads. Full strength squads! Yes! Full strength squads hampered only by injuries! Yes! Cradle Mountain Devils Round 4 team Out: E Langdon (omitted) In: J Steele Def: D Zorko, N Vlastuin, T McDonald, L McDonald (B Cox) Mid: R Laird, J Steele, S Pendlebury, J Hopper (E Langdon) Ruc: T Nankervis Fwd: T Greene, A Naughton, S Mannagh, R Maric (J Gresham) Int: R Marshall, T English (R Ginbey) The Devils host a Round 4 Apple Isle clash against the Wineglass Bay Packers who are making the short road trip (by ORFFA standards) 305 kms west. With Cradle Mountain captain Jack Steele making his return from a knee injury CMD are in the very fortunate position of having 27 of the 28 players in the squad available for selection this weekend, putting their marker very close to the pin in terms of the full strength squads @chris88 mentioned in the OP. The solitary CMD exception is defender Jake Lever sidelined for approximately eight weeks due to an ankle injury. Cradle Mountain are attempting to extend their season starting winning streak to four games and the Packers are searching for their first win of the season after a rare ORFFA draw against the Cows last weekend. Wineglass Bay can take confidence from their very good recent record against the Devils including having a thrilling upset 1,299 to 1,292 win in Round 14 last season.
