Nice to see the Quolls looked after with position changes for once. Gone from spending years with no playing ruck to suddenly having 3. Good times.
@Len bumping this post for you, this is what I went with in the draw that has been uploaded - no games from rounds 12 to 16 with a MSD to be conducted at some point over that break
AFL rounds 16-23 are now out, times in AEST are here https://www.afl.com.au/news/1320928...d-16-to-23-games-of-2025-home-and-away-season Thursday's are a feature through to AFL Round 22, but not in AFL Round 23 which looks like your preliminary finals week, round 24 is still floating for another month or two.
Gotta say I consider myself pretty unlucky to be staring down at a winless season. Aside from a couple of poor scores the Bullfrogs could've beaten 4 or 5 teams each week if the draw had been prepared differently! Anyway, went with way too many fringe players with promise and possibly a year or two early. Hopefully we see a few cement their spots in the side for the second half of the season.
Trading of players and picks between coaches is now open. Will probably kick off the optional Mid Season Draft in a 2 weeks time
sorry mate from my end hoping this form for you doesn't continue for you come finals time. i'm getting a few outs that are starting to hurt and great to see the knightriders up and about
We have the final H&A this week coming, then thanks to the ridiculous amount of byes we are using version 2 of the league guidelines (below) 3. FINALS Version 1 (Where three weeks are available after H2H rounds) (a) Final 8, knockout style over 3 weeks (R21-23). (b) In the first week the Top 3 teams get to choose which team they play in the first week of the finals out of positions 5-8. Eg. 1st gets 1st choice, 2nd gets 2nd choice etc. (c) In the second week of the finals, the four winners from the previous play off in seeded matches, according to the ladder at the end of the regular season. Eg. 1st vs 4th, 2nd vs 3rd. (d) The third week of the finals will consist of one match between the winners of the previous weeks matches. This match is known as the ORFFL Grand Final. Version 2 (Where only two weeks are available) (a) Final 4, knockout style over 2 weeks (R22-23). (b) In the first week the Top team gets to choose which team they play in the first week of the finals out of positions 3 & 4. (c) The second week of the finals will consist of one match between the winners of the previous weeks matches. This match is known as the ORFFL Grand Final. Though it will be rounds 23 and 24, again thanks to AFL house totally cocking up the season. I'll call for thoughts/votes on how we handle this going forward as the mid season break was just too long imo. I have some ideas, but would prefer to take the time and detail appropriately but essentially we either play though at least some of the nulti-team byes or we look at a conference system..
