    AFL Round 6 – Thursday 17th April

ORFFA Round 5 - Chocolate Football Round

Remember those seriously massive chocolate footballs they sold around Easter time each year? The ones that were hollow and covered in tin foil wrapping and often ended up with the ends dented inwards because chances were that somewhere along the journey between purchase, gift-giving and consumption there would be a fumble - a clanger perhaps - and the footy-egg would bear the brunt.

No matter though, eventual consumption lends itself to egg deconstruction, by violent or more peaceful means. As long as the egg didn't melt during one of those warm Easter weekends ... now that posed a real problem.

I don't know how I managed to eat that much chocolate when I was a kid. Happy Easter.

Junee Jaguars v Cradle Mountain Devils
Dunsborough Dung Beetles v Iron Knob Codpieces
Gariwerd Cockatoos v Wagga Wagga Wombats
Mount Beauty Uglies v Nareewillock Nuffers
Waikickamoocow Incorrigibles v Venus Bay Vultures
Charlies Opening Spelunkers v Gundagai Grasshoppers
Lovely Banks Lilacs v Birdsville Battlers
Wineglass Bay Packers v Larrikin Lagoon Lefties

Unless the jetlag is making me see things, I note a grand final rematch here in this round ... good luck to the lovely Uglies (though I'm thinking their good form won't require a lot of luck right now!)

Meanwhile - Happy Easter to everyone.

By the way, has anyone got a list of the DPP changes ... I can't seem to find them anywhere that is non-paywalled and couldn't access them.

    Thanks Graeme. Some interesting ones.

Ross becoming a F/M is a small benefit for him being played out of position most weeks anyway I guess.

Meanwhile I have a ruck this week. Squad - emergencies TBC.

    D: Dale, Brown, Idun, Clark
    M: Rowell, Warner, Richards, Serong
    R: Ryan
F: JHF, Ross, Higgins, Jones (though that is subject to change and I don't know anymore)
    I/C: Redman, Bedford

    Gariwerd Cockatoos

    In: Justin McInerney
    Out: Tobie Travaglia

DEF: Max Holmes, Jake Bowey, Kane Farrell, Changkuoth Jiath (Lachlan Bramble)
MID: Touk Miller, Sam Durham, Matt Crouch, Willem Drew (Hugo Ralphsmith)
    RUCK: Jordon Sweet
FWD: Ben King, Kade Chandler, Ethan Read, Sam Wicks (Harry Rowston -oop)
INT: Sam Draper, Justin McInerney (Harvey Langford)

We’re excited to see Harry Rowston named as an emergency, but we’ve just realised we missed that Koltyn Tholstrup was available to play this game and we should’ve picked him as our emergency for the forward line.
