Hey guys, In general, the more successful teams have more points available for their players. So i was wondering who everyone thinks will make the top 8. For the record i think the ladder will end up something like this: Collingwood Hawthorn Geelong Saint Kilda Sydney Bulldogs Fremantle North Carlton Adelaide Melbourne Richmond Brisbane Port Essendon Gold Coast West Coast Collingwood, Saints and Geelong all have great teams, and a fair bit of experience. Something pretty catastrophic would have to happen for them not to make top 4 imo. Hawthorn have one of the best lists going around, and with an injury free pre-season, the last two seasons will just be a bad dream. The top four could be these four in any order, and i reckon Sydney could make top 4 as well. Sydney, Freo and Bulldogs all have finals experience, and should all make finals. For the record, i left Bulldogs out of the top 4, because i'm not convinced with their team. They really didn't beat many top 4/top 8 sides last year. Especially not when said teams were in good form. Carlton will struggle more than last year with Kreuzer not able to do a majority of the rucking. Considering they made the top 8 last year by only 1 game, that could be the difference this year. I just feel as though North will improve more as a team than Carlton will. Adelaide, Richmond, Melbourne and Port are all just not quite there, but their young players will all gain another year of experience for 2012. Brisbane should have fewer injuries than last year, but given the hard Gabba surface, injuries will still be common. Essendon, Gold Coast and West Coast will fill the bottom three in some order imo. Their lists are like 1 or 2 stages behind Melbourne and Richmond in the rebuilding phase. Gold Coast may push a little higher than 15th, but i'd say no higher than 12th. Oh, and my tip for the rising star is Harley Bennell, Coleman is Buddy and Brownlow is J Selwood. How do you guys think 2011 will pan out?
Theres always a finals surprise (like Freo last year), this years its Melbourne! Hawthorn Collingwood Bulldogs St Kilda Geelong Melbourne Sydney Freo North Carlton Adelaide Richmond Port Essendon Brisbane WCE Gold Coast
I see a good chance that Geelong and Sydney will start to slide and Melbourne and North will be on the rise. Bulldogs Collingwood St Kilda Fremantle Hawthorn Geelong Melbourne North Carlton Sydney Adelaide Richmond Port Brisbane WC GC Essendon
I hate to say it but Collingwood will win the flag again this year. They have the most even squad in the competition. And the spoon will be a close competition between Essendon and Gold Coast. Don't be fooled with Hird now coaching the Bombers, they have the worst list in the comp. Pies flag throw a blanket over a few to fin 2nd think hawks had a flinty year and the way the games changed there game style won't work but agree have a great list, melb to make 8 bombers will win the spoon, smokey this yr is dockers if they win enough to make. Top 2 which I believe is possible have a fit pav sandi and Barlow come year end they b tough to beat, also couple of finals this yr will help Pies Dockers Saints Cats Swans Dogs Hawks Melb Nth melb Blues Crows Power Tigers Eagles Gold coast Lions Buddy Coleman selwood brownlow swallow rising Bombers
Lots of crazy speculation here..... Collingwood -The Team to Best Fremantle -The New Team you Don't want to play away to. Hawthorn -If fully fit, should see a resugance Bulldogs -Still competitive but could slide StKilda -Too many off-field dramas Sydney -Very Strong at home so almost Guaranteed 12 wins Geelong -New coach, old players(who are still quality) but injuries due to age. Essendon -New coach, Young Players, consistency an issue Carlton -Coach on last chance(Sorry Ratsy!)Could make it but it will be tough North Melbourne -Still a season away but will be competitive as always Melbourne -Same as Nth Port -Rebuilding Richmond -Same as Nth but not as competitive Adelaide -Lost too many quality seniors, young guys could step up though Brisbane -Whats the opposite of rebuilding?????? West Coast -List hasn't changed that much to expect major growth yet. Gold Coast -???????Who knows??????? I reckon its down to 6 teams for 7th and 8th positions this year with Melbourne to Sydney being interchangeable.
Bit surprised at the love for Freo. They faded a bit last year and their injury run this preseason mirrors Hawthorn's start to 2009. I have them outside the 8 (though I did have to find room for Carlton Any sponsors out there for a ladder prediction comp?
Fremantle Collingwood Hawthorn St Kilda Melbourne Geelong Essendon Adelaide North Carlton GC Sydney Buldogs Richmond Westcoast Port Brisbane Hmm you don't agree? We'll see. Hirdy is smarter than you think, he'll get that team moving, he wont go for draft picks this year like everyone thinks. We all know GWS will steal all the draft picks this year anyway. Geelong are finished and Buldogs don't have any heart. Leaving room for newcomers Adelaide and Melbourne to show off their second year players.
haha soo much hate for the bombers! i love it Collingwood Hawthorn Geelong Fremantle St Kilda Western Bulldogs Carlton Essendon Sydney Melbourne North Melbourne Adelaide Gold Coast West Coast Richmond Brisbane Port Adelaide

We lost some passengers (Johnson, Akermanis, Eagleton) and that's about all that's changed from the 2010 list. No chance that we'll finish 14th in 2011.

@ Liquid_Six-x, Port to get the wooden spoon? You can get set with me that Port will finish well above the Bombers this year. Just remember we already have 1 win in the bank when we play the Bombers. Port always wins when we play Essendon, lol
