Horsham Huskies 1234 def King Island 1227 There was a lot on the line with both teams fighting to scrape into the 8 and this one went down to the wire, the Huskies holding on by 7. Despite the narrow margin it was the visitors that controlled field position, the ball living up the Huskies end. Usual ball-getters Holmes and Roberts instead playing negating roles on the Monarchs' Macrae and Kennedy. Rather it was some of the lesser lights that stood up for both sides, including Ross (110) and Harmes (109) for the visitors and Haynes (102) and Hough (112) for the home team. Although King Island dominated the midfield, with inclusion McKercher (129) shining, it was Horsham's consistency that won out. King Island having 7 players crack the ton to the visitor's 4, but also 6 players under 60 (including Lipinski who didn't join the contest until the last quarter) compared to only 2 for the Huskies. Full Time at The Stadium and the River Rats have run over the tiring Monarchs scoring 608 in todays session to finish on 1162 while King Is. could only muster 184, finishing with 1123 Bueng Kan's defence was very miserly-like today in thwarting the visitors attack, even with Jeffrey 115 playing in the reserves, while forward of the ball, Langdon118 distributing the pill, seemingly at will, and ANB 103 and Sharman 91, up front helping with 4 goals, managed to get the win by 39 pts. site is rolled, new DPPs are active, bye rounds are here, and @Mick you can stick your 1490 score you saved just for me, right up your date
Cheers Consider it shelved... for now. Be grateful I sent a message to the boys by dropping Tim Kelly during Sir Doug Nicholls round (knowing I had you covered ) otherwise it was 1500+
@JPK @insider With regards to BKR score in rd11, the total of 1190 is incorrect and should be 1162..this may affect Team positions in the upcoming MSD. 28 points from Emergency Max Hall were added as Simpson scored 0, but Simpson actually took the field and was injured very early in the game, but his score of 0 should still count.
Stiff Dildos. One of those weeks where you just came up against the wrong side - would've comfortably beaten any other team in the league.
Bulls Prospectors Match Report After the high of knocking off the Dillos last week, the Bulls old nemesis consistency bit hard this week. @JPK This game was a non event as the Bulls never got rolling aside from McCluggage, Salem, Heeney and Roberts who all toiled hard. For the visitors NWM (126) lead the way off half back with a strong trio in the middle working overtime with Miller, Serong & Wines getting the business done. Up forward it was Darcy Jones and Peter Wright who cashed in and when Maynard went down with injury it was all over she wrote. At the end of the day it was the disappointing Bulls 1100 going down to the Prospectors on 1285 as they find gold at Staghorn Flat. Round 13 sees the Prospectos play an inform Carnamah in an 8 point game with both teams hoping to keep finals aspirations alive. Round XI: Cow Bay 1,138 def by Carnamah 1,178 A disappointing effort from the home side this week saw a 200 point drop in their score from last week and a 40 point loss at the hands of the visiting Cormorants. The home side only had 2 played hit the ton over the weekend, Taranto (103) and Hopper (100). They were left with too much to do in the midfield but an honourable mention goes to Chapman (58) who tonned up but only half his score counted as he played out of position in the ruck. That didn't stop him, and he took out the Big Tap honours over Meek who posted a poor 56. Down back, Noble (98) continues his strong 2025 form and Clark (86) was reasonable. Up front, Rankine (87) was the only player who could hold his head high. The visitors only had 2 players hit the triple figure mark themselves in Petracca (125) and Rachele (111) but that small edge was a big reason for the 40 point margin. Weddle (97) was a force down back with little support, only Ashcroft (87) could say he did enough in the middle and McAuliffe (97) provided fresh legs off the bench. Big Tap Chapman (58) def Meek (56) BAFFU 3 Petracca, Carnamah, 125 2 Rachele, Carnamak (111) 1 Taranto, Cow Bay (103) The loss keeps the Crocs in 6th and 1 win behind 5th place. The win gives Carnamah hope of a finals appearance now only 1 game behind 6th.
Match report from Pakenham Another home game this week and another thrilling ring a ding ding match it was. The home fans were treated to a great match between the Parasites and Plovers Pakenham 1289 somehow scrapping over the line to Edens 1272 The up and coming Plovers pushed the home team right to the end, with great scores from Pickett 148, Crisp 126, Amon 106 and Comben 103 also with Graham 95 and Briggs 90. The coach no doubt happy with his solid performers. Unfortunately the rest of the mids and the interchange didn’t exactly get it done, which was costly in the end. So close yet so far. Overall a very solid performance that would keep any opposition team concerned in the future. Pakenham also had some great scores from Sinclair 143, Cerra 122, Anderson 113, rookie gun Reid 104, Owens 103 and Butters 100 with Rivers 92 and Setterfield 90 doing what’s needed. A few players struggled which could have cost the win but luckily enough a few balls bounced the right way and a win was secured The ruck battle wasn’t really a battle with Big Row 55 comprehensively beaten by Big Briggs 90 With bye rounds coming up and MSD both coaches would be eager to fill the holes that could make the difference come seasons end BOG. 3: Pickett 148. 2: Sinclair 143. 1: Crisp 126
