The Barracuda’s finish on 1,342/15 89.5 defeated by the Buffalos @wrightbrendan on 1,465/15 97.7 The visitors have been racking up the frequent flyers points again after taking care of the Parasites just they are here in in Groote Eylandt. The home side have rallied after being buried by the Prospector’s last week with kicking for goal drills. Well, not a good for the home side with McLean having a dizzy spell in the change room so Longy get another shot after being dropped for Membrey. AstroNaught demanded the ball and started the things for the Cuda’s, with nice support from Membrey, Bedford and Longy. They took care of the visitors Ridley, however Saad and Himmelberg stood tall. Eylandt's Grundy took the Big Tap again this week against English, smashing it all day. The Bont took matters into his own hands literally, racking up the possessions with Liba, Corn Boy and Errol pushing and pushing taking care of Jelly from the Buffalos. The new star on the block is Callaghan giving as much as he got with Neale cleaning up the slops. For the home side this is where they got done, only Seagull could get any breathing room, Weitering, O’Connor and Zorko got whacked, each one coming from serial pest Toby Greene which left Switkowski, Bailey Smith and goal hungry Cameron loose to do what they pleased, and they did. Cameron bagging 11 goals, yes, that’s correct, it’s not a typo. While the standard of play was high and really the Barracudas really couldn’t do much more the raging Buffalos took the meat raffle prize this week to continue their path forward getting ready for the final series. Huskies 1206 def Cormorants 830 After the conclusion of the weekend's match it would be hard to believe that the Comorants sat inside the top 8 at the start of the round whilst the Huskies were looking on from the outside. Carnamah has ridden their fair share of luck in 2025, a point well proven if one were to peruse the points for column on the ladder, but if luck were a horse you could say all four legs gave way on the weekend and luck is now off to the glue factory. With Johnson and Rioli injured the week before the Cormorants were unable to field a full team and an additional injury to Reid during the game only rubbed salt into the wounds. Dan Curtin continued his rich vein of form and he was supported well by Petracca and Darcy however there was little resistance from the rest. Nothing should be taken away from the Huskies, playing away from home in a mist win game, they delivered. Holmes was a clear best on ground and enjoyed silver service from Witts all day. With no obvious weak points in the lineup they were able to maintain scoreboard pressure throughout and notch a solid win. Votes 3- Max Holmes (130) 2-Christian Petracca (108) 1-Jarrod Witts (105) Big Tap Witts def Meek
Progress score from The Stadium and its plain to see why these teams sit 15th and 12th on the ladder, with The Dogs leading The Rats 6/482 -2/153....no player from either side hitting the ton or should that be tonne..... Neal-Bullen 94 for the home side is doing his best while best for the visitors Thilthorpe 90 and Battle 89. Hopefully play over the next 2 sessions will produce a centurion or two...or three....or maybe even four.... @Batfink
The Bulls have got the lead early but Serengeti are looking like they have enough in reserve to overcome the deficit @tyze1 Serengeti 876/8/110 v Staghorn Flat 1086/13/84
Update from The Stadium with the last game of the season and finally players have come to play. Hughenden leading Bueng Kan 13/1093 to 12/892. The visiting Prairie Dogs got themselves acclimatised and produced some worthy scoring from all parts of the ground with Mills 125, down back withstanding The Rats limited attack, with Ginbey 98 holding sway in the middle, and Oliver coming off the bench with 108. However they didn't have it all their own way and The River Rats produced some scoring power of their own. Once again, the defence of Collins 113, Jeffrey 100 and Duggan 91 kept the home side in the game, while Cameron 108 gave them 1st use of the ball, not that the midfield were able to do anything with it. Improving the midfield will be a priority in the upcoming Trade/Draft period. With one session to go, Wood Sharman and Hall have it all to do to,while Byrne-Jones and Cox (oop) will be doing their best to stop them. @Batfink
