We have reached the stage where everyone has played each other once each, so I thought it would be a good time to reflect on the season so far. As everyone knows, now we go on to play the other teams in our conference once more before the top-6 go into the playoffs. For those that don't know, the conferences are seeded based on draft position.

Firstly, before we move on, an announcement and a question. I am going to reintroduce a trade deadline. Many years ago, we voted to remove the trade deadline, but I think we need one. It is fair to have a cut-off before playoffs, and every year there are coaches who refuse to trade late in the season so lets just make it a rule for all.
I have set the trade deadline to Midday AEST January 26th in all leagues.

My question is about the IR spots. I think we should add another IR spot next season and I am getting in early to ask what everyone thinks. Let us know in the comments.

    - I had planned to do both of the above prior to this season but forgot at the time.

This season has been going great so far. Its good to see the engagement in the leagues and all three leagues are very competitive! I cant wait to see how the next couple of months plays out.

@stowie in Premier is our only undefeated team, and all 35 other teams have lost at least 3 games!
Unfortunately @headmandude is yet to win a game this season in Div-2 and is our only winless team.

Stowie is running away with the 'Too' conference in Premier, but the top-3 in the 'Serious' conference (@bgt2110 @nicksnow @dmandrews ) are all tied up on 7-4 records and the the last 5 matchups are going to be crucial to find out who comes out of that conference with the top-2 seed. 6th to 8th is interesting too, with @HEAVER & @Jay Sumz currently scoring well overall but sitting outside the top-6 and @tasho on a tear with a win streak of 6 to jump into the top-6.

Playing in Div-1 this season, I have found it to be super close between every team except for probably @churchboy who auto-drafted and has struggled; but it is especially close between teams from 2nd to 9th all with 5-7 wins, so who knows who will make the playoffs!

In Div-2, the top-5 teams are all looking strong, including @Len who has returned to play after taking the last 5 seasons off and he is the current top scorer across all three leagues! Also, @Leftover_Laksa is currently outside the top-6 but is third by total points scored so look for them to push up the ladder on the run home.

I also want to shoutout the 3 coaches with 50+ acquisitions at the time of pulling the data! @crossy who is always up there in premier; @Jay Sumz from Premier too; and @Len who as mentioned earlier is currently the best scoring team we have! The grind is real, guys! Keep working that wire!
And on the other end of the spectrum, we have 4 coaches with <10 acquisitions so far, and one of those is @Jacob Doole who is sitting pretty in 2nd place in Div-2 at present!

You will see the results from all teams in the sortable spreadsheet below. The bold teams are the teams I shouted out as the teams I liked post-draft - most I hit, but @crossy @Bearfly and @costak are letting me down haha

My 'points against' column pretty much sums up my season. Looks like everyone gets up to play me this season ha ha!

I just had a look at the points against and you have the most across all 3 leagues! You need to work on your team defence at training ;)

Interestingly, the top 5 'points against' are all in Premier and 8 of the top 10!

Thanks for putting the write up together. 8 of the top 13 highest points scored are in the premier division which is interesting

I might be in the minority with this but I'd prefer to keep it to the 2 x IR slots. Yes it's frustrating when injuries hit but it makes things a bit more tactical around whether you have to make a tough call to cut a reasonable player or whether you cop a few losses in the short term and hopefully right the ship once your main guys are back.

The FA pool is already pretty thin as well so it would look pretty bad if you removed another 12 players from it and makes it less risky for people to stash kyrie / dejounte types
