    Hi All,

Those of us involved in TS keeper leagues have increasingly dealt with idle teams across early an midseason AFL bye rounds.

In response we have decided to trial a 10 aside modified ORFF* format competition over the 7 multibye rounds in 2026
    • ORFF* 10's (or Tens) team format is 2D-4M-2F-2IC (no R line) - with 1 emergency per line if teams can field over 10 players, as usual OOP in D/M/F = 50% points only
    • The squad used is the same as the team's ORFFL/ORFFA/ORFFU/ORFFF squad of 28 or 30 players
    • The competition format is a pseudo-Double Elimination Comp held in 4 and 8 team bye rounds
    • TSleagues won’t support the comp so all scores will be manually calculated by participating team coaches and posted in a dedicated ORFF* 10’s competition thread
    • OR team scores (with perfect hindsight post OR) used for Comp Seeding teams ranked 1-8 receive a double chance/easier path and teams ranked 9-16 must win 6 consecutive elimination matches, teams ranked 17 onwards based on OR scores do not qualify for the comp
    • Round 2 onwards match schedule as per diagram and teams to be named by Friday night lockout
    • H2H matches rds2-3 eliminates 8 teams
    • Rd12 is Minor Premiers GF (match 15) and 3 more Elimination Matches (Matches 16-18) in the right hand bracket
    • Minor Premiers rests in Rounds 14&15 and plays the Grand Final in Round 16 against winner of the 4 right hand bracket survivors

Please sign up below by posting your ORFFL/ORFFA/ORFFU/ORFFF team name and the competition they play in.

Please note that coaches with multiple team can only enter once for this competition so please make a choice.

Entries close at 9pm Melbourne time on Thursday 5th March, or whenever we reach 24 entries (noting 16 will qualify for the competition proper).

The field of 16 is as follows:-
FL - Wanderers, Magicians, Knightriders, Bullfrogs
FF - 29ers, Noahs, Boozers, Whales
FA - Devils, Cockatoos, Grasshoppers, Packers
FU - Bunyips, Blowflys, Monarchs, Prospectors

Seeding to be updated as posted (1-8 = Double Elimination Bracket, 9-16 = Single Elimination Bracket)
    1 - 976
    2 - 948
3 - 941 (1001 posted less Lester 97 and Cameron 94 plus Guthrie 81 and Elliot 50, as Lester and Cameron weren't listed until after OR)
    4 - 924
    5 - 909
    6 - 901 (1*oop)

I want to shoutout Ethan Read too who scored 108 in the magoos when he couldn't even crack an emergency spot in the senior team this week after playing round 0.

@snoz ’s Gundagai Grasshoppers 927 defeated the Cradle Mountain Devils 871 in an All-ORFFA battle.

      FWD: Rankine 77 / Simpkin 65 142/2
      I/C: Grundy 135 / Curnow 33 (Schoenberg) 168/2

      Cradle Mountain Devils 871

      Def: R Laird 67, S Banks 77 (N Vlastuin) 144/2
      Mid: J Steele 110, J Hopper 46, D Wilson 102, E Langdon 103 (J Jordon) 361/4
      Fwd: T Greene 80, A Naughton 55 (P Wright) 135/2
      Inter: T English 114, T Nankervis 117 (J Battle) 231/2

Thanks for the updates earlier in the round and congratulations on the Grasshoppers win @snoz.

Three of the four best players in the All-ORFFA duel were rucks with Gundagai ruck Brodie Grundy (135) best afield despite facing the Cradle Mountain ruck tag team of Toby Nankervis (117) and Tim English (114). CMD captain Nankervis suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter and took no further part in the game. The positions I was most concerned with for the Devils heading into the game were M3 and M4. The duo who didn’t play in ORFFA Round 1 game and were inclusions against the Hoppers in these roles both reached triple figures - Darcy Wilson (102) and Ed Langdon (103) to put forward their case to earn some ORFFA senior opportunities. The Hoppers M3 and M4 Stephen Coniglio (102) and Newcombe (103) recorded the exact same score as their CMD counterparts. Other players in Gundagai’s half dozen tons were midfielders Clayton Oliver (117), Jordan Dawson (103) and defender Callum Mills (107). 11 of the 20 players in the game reached triple figures with Gundagai having the edge in this category 6-5. The Devils ton quintet was completed by M1 Jack Steele (110).
