Hughenden Prairie Dogs 1,159 defeat Exmouth Anglers 749

Hughenden played at their consistent best to beat an undermanned Exmouth side at the Dino Dome,

The Anglers were always going to find the going tough with only 10 players able to make the journey while the P Dogs were able to find 15 players through a local pub recruitment drive. Top performers for the P Dogs were Ash (130), Mills (107), Berry (107), Oliver (117) and Nash (102) with the Anglers Treacy (125) providing any resistance.

The win sees Hughenden remain in the top 8 which is a position fans have not seen for a while and Exmouth remain firmly at the bottom of the table for the moment during their rebuild phase.

Hughenden’s test comes next week when they visit the Bunyips and Exmouth remain on the road travelling to Cow Bay looking for their first win of 2026.
