@JPK Serengeti 1170/15/78 v Coolgardie 1137/14/81 Xavier Lindsay to come for the Prospectors and put the finishing touches on
Huskies have beaten the Beagles (Size matters?) 1142 to 1059 Standouts for the visitors were Holmes with 121 and Bailey with 115 Beagles best served by Farrell 141, Lever 117, Duursma 104 and Hollands 112.
Site has rolled over, for sure. But we have persisting issues with 5 players Murdock is not showing in the stats, not sure if he was drafted as he may fit the next category if not. Blamires, T Clohesy, E Hollands & Burton are showing as retired. I've reached out to @insider as I am stuffed if I can see the problem, will update when sorted.
Round 2 Bulls 1302 def Bunyips 1194 @martyg The Rematch Round 2 and the 2025 GF rematch was on, someone at league HQ decided it was a good week to let 4 sides have a bye. So what took place was the GF lite version. The Bulls still reeling from 2 late injuries in the GF had revenge on their mind as the Bunyips came to town. The ruck contest was breathtaking with Nank (117) pulling the pin at 3/4 time with hamstring awareness this allowed Gawn to storm home with 141 points. This gave the Bunyips midfiled first use and JHF, LDU & Dawson all taking advantage saluting the hundred. The Bulls battled hard in the guys with Newc & Ward both raising the bat. With Freijah & Richards dominating up front for their respective teams it came down to the defences to decide this one. It was the Bulls quad of Roberts, Salem, Whitfield & Duggan provided far more defensive pressure and run as the Bunyips defence struggled with Hardwick, Miller, Silvagni and Dale all unable to break 70 points. End of the day it was Revenge of the Bulls running out 108 point victors. Votes: 3 JHF (BBU), 2 Gawn (BBU), 1 Richards (SFB) Big Tap Nank 117 (SFB) def by Gawn 141 (BBU)
Round 3 Bunyips 1107 v Prairie Dogs 930 @Batfink Bunyips first home match for 2026 and the local were excited. Unfortunately for the homeside and the visitors we were both missing some key players and it turned into a dour affair. Max Gawn (131) had a day out in the middle against Darcy Byrne-Jones with a huge height and ruck-craft dominance. With only 6 players across 2 teams raising the bat, there is nothing great to write about. Ash (106) was beaten by J Daicos (117) down back whilst LDU (124) beat Oliver (111) in the guts. Both teams look to have come through unscathed and looking forward to resting another bunch of stars to scramble through the bye round! Big Tap - Gawn BOG - Gawn - 3 LDU - 2 J Daicos - 1
@tyze1 ️ The Graveyard – Where Careers Go to Die (and Apparently So Did the Vikings Today) Nuytsland Vikings 855 def. by Staghorn Flat Bulls 1128 1st Quarter – “Whitfield of Dreams (Nightmares for Vikings)” Welcome to The Graveyard, where the Vikings hoped to bury the Bulls… but early signs suggested they forgot the shovel. Lachie Whitfield came out running like he’d seen a clearance sale—128 points worth of uncontested marks later, and the Vikings were already asking if he was eligible for zoning laws. Meanwhile, Jaxon Prior was doing his best “I’ll Prior-itise defence” routine with 94, but poor Nic Newman and Riley Hardeman contributed about as much as a chocolate shield—zero. Quarter Time: Bulls off to a flyer, Vikings already looking like ghosts at their own home ground. 2nd Quarter – “Midfield Missing Persons Report” The Vikings midfield… well… it existed. Technically. Chad Warner went full silent movie era with a big fat zero—no sound, no action, just confusion. Meanwhile Hugo Garcia (56) and Levi Ashcroft (98) tried to keep things respectable. But on the other side… oh boy. Luke Parker didn’t just park himself—he set up camp with 161 points. Absolute caravan at The Graveyard. Even Stephen Coniglio tried to “Coniglio” his way into relevance, but Parker had already taken the keys. Half Time: Vikings down big, midfield battle officially declared a crime scene. 3rd Quarter – “Forward Line Actually Shows a Pulse” Finally, some Viking life! Lachie Schultz (102) was handing out goals like free samples, while Jye Amiss (94)… well, he didn’t miss. Harry McKay (72) chipped in, suddenly the Vikings weren’t completely buried. But every time they looked like rising from the dead… Charlie Cameron (49) buzzed around, and Kai Lohmann (82) said “Kai, thanks, I’ll take that momentum back.” Three Quarter Time: Vikings showing signs of life… but still very much in the ICU. 4th Quarter – “The Bulls Close the Gate” Any hopes of a Viking resurrection were quickly put back in the coffin. Archie Roberts (100) stood tall, Christian Salem (77) delivered divine punishment, and the Bulls just kept piling it on. Even when the Vikings got a bit of bench support—Harvey Langford (74)—it wasn’t enough. Dyson Sharp was anything but sharp with a zero, and Lachlan Cowan (51) was left trying to patch leaks on a sinking longship. Meanwhile, the Bulls’ depth (Maynard 84, Duff-Tytler 42) just kept the scoreboard ticking like a metronome of misery. Final Siren – “Buried at The Graveyard” Staghorn Flat Bulls 1128 defeat Nuytsland Vikings 855 A tough day at home for the Vikings—turns out naming your ground The Graveyard isn’t ideal when your own team is the one getting buried. Best Viking: Schultz & Ashcroft tried to keep the ship afloat ♂️ Best Bull: Parker parked a truck on the midfield and refused to move
The locals were excited to welcome the hometown Buffaloes for their first home game of the year amidst high expectations for what season 2026 may bring. A 1-1 start to the year was excused given the squad unavailability being experienced but patience was not going to last forever so a solid performace was hotly anticipated. @JPK Things started well with Bailey Smith (172) tearing the game apart, Connor O'Sullivan (106) showing encouraging signs of development and new defensive teammate Jordan Clark (129) repaying the price tag invested in him. With Finn Callaghan (124) chipping in through the midfield, the home crowd were liking what was unfolding. Unfortunately for that home crowd though, a familiar tale for this season began to unfold from there. With too much left to too few, there was not enough contributors to back up the top end work with Jeremy Cameron (45), Lachie Neale (73) and milestone man Darcy Parish (67) drawing particular ire from the crowd. When no-one was left to even try to cover the missing Tim English, the camel's back was broken and the Prospectors were able to do enough to get across the line. Rubbing salt in the wound was the stand out performance of Peter Wright (127) who contributed nothing to a game less meaningful than this one against a blue and white team but managed to somehow look dominant at The Crater. Round 2 Cow Bay 1,240 def Nuytsland 784 Although the home side were still searching for a playing ruck, the Crocs still had an extra man on the field and were able to record their first win for season 2026 with a 456 point win over the Vikings. For Cow Bay, Bolton has stepped up a gear this year and took BOG honours with a 142 point effort floating between the midfield and forward line. Wilkie (129) hasn't slowed down and intercepted at will in the defensive 50, and young gun Sheezel (124) led the mids out of the centre. Burgoyne (105), Moore (104) and Taranto (103) were others to ton up over the 2nd weekend. The visitors had some shining lights despite the scoreline. Sweet (121) enjoyed being the sole ruckman at ball ups while Warner (90) and Worner (90) - no, no misspelling there - did their best to stem the flow of goals. Unfortunately the forward line let down the Vikings with a total score of 128 across the 4 players. Big Tap Moyle DNP def by Sweet 121 BAFFU 3 Bolton, COW, 142 2 Wilkie, COW 129 1 Sheezel, COW 124
Round 3 Cow Bay 1,223 def Exmouth 511 With a strong win last week fresh in their minds, the home side were full of confidence in their 3rd match of the year when facing the Anglers. Only 7 players from the visiting team made it to the airport on time for their flight with the other half left to watch the match at home. As a result, the Crocs stormed to a 712 point victory. Taranto (148) took out BOG honours over the weekend and was almost outshone by Sheezel with his 145 point effort. Dempsey (96) found some form and is starting to show why he was almost All Australian last year. Bolton (130) played a lone hand up forward with very little support, however, Burgoyne (103) and Wilkie (102) made sure that the visitors didn't have many opportunities in front of the big sticks. The Anglers had one player ton up and he almost took out BOG honours, Treacy with a 140 point effort. Defender McCarthy (92) was next best and it was good to see Lalor (83) put some decent numbers on the board. The visiting coach will be reviewing his arrangement with Flight Centre after the ticket fiasco created the disaster we saw where half the team were left behind. Big Tap Pickett (16) OOP def Anonymous DNP BAFFU 3 Taranto, COW, 148 2 Sheezel, COW, 145 1 Treacy, EXA, 140 The Cow Bay coach will be taking it a little easier this weekend and will be enjoying the break from the late nights in the office and the RSI from writing 2 match reports.
