ORFFA Round 4 (AFL Round 6) Retro Round Ah, retro round. Our once a year collision with the past, where all things old are remembered with a golden hue. Where obscenely short yellow or red shorts are seen as viable fashion statements. Where centre square gluepots, metric tonnes of sand or grass that rips up like velcro are seen only as obstacles for players to adapt to rather than things that were potentially career ending. Where there was silence during half time and no music between goals or at breaks in play. Where you could stack the backline without worrying about 6-6-6, and where you could actually man the mark rather than STAND. You know, sometimes things change slowly, and sometimes they change quickly. So lets celebrate the good changes and question the bad ones this week. Just as long as those yellow shorts remain out of sight. This round also marks the changing of DPPs. Check your teams and, where appropriate, pray for someone to receive DPP so they can fill in somewhere for someone who is useless or not playing.
Provisional Nuffers for the weekend: D: Marshall, Clark, Idun, Dale (HH) M: Richards, Serong, Rowell, Warner (Steele) R: OHB F: Daniels, Ross, Horne-Francis, West (Voss) I/C: Langford, Riccardi May need changes if Richards isn't selected. Won't matter if the team turn up and don't score like last week.
Packers D - Josh Daicos,John Noble, Lachie Ash, Bodhi Uwland (Lachie Cowan) M - James Worpel, Ryley Sanders, Xavier O'Halloran, Finn Callaghan R - Darcey Cameron, F - Seth Campbell, Ben Keays, Leonardo Lombard, Jacob van Rooyen I/C - Liam Baker, Andrew McGrath
Have had to do some shuffling - Daniels having a rest and OHB not 100% certain of selection (which, as a Richmond fan, mystifies me when the alternative is Samson Ryan). Hopefully no more shuffling required.
Team to take on our island mates the Packers @Tracey Some might say living in Tassie means every day is a retro day, we look at it the opposite way, we are the trend setters and then when everyone else cottons on, we move on to the next. I mean look at all the mullets and 'taches going around now... us Tassie folks have been rocking them for at least 20 years
