Caro.Wilson calling it early on the Fevola situation.
BRISBANE Lions will sack troubled footballer Brendan Fevola within the next few days. The Lions could make the official call as early as Monday, having held high-level talks yesterday at AFL headquarters.
http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/brisbane-to-sack-fevola-20110218-1azqk.html
Well spotted spud, that was pretty quick off the mark! I think that if I saw any SC team that had Fevola in it during 2011, the only possible explanation would be autofill...
Haha nice call Jason Gotta love that auto-fill feature eh? Knowing the accuracy of Caros' articles in years gone by, Fevola is almost guarenteed to be playing at the Lions for the next two years. You have to give the woman credit though, she has no issue staking (what's left of) her credability on her articles and not often does she sit on the fence.
Yeah Spud. She's pretty pretty big on being the one with the scoop. You can see in her writing that she gets a bit shirty when someone else breaks the big story too. Usually good for a giggle
Sad end to his career really, could have been something special if things were handled better at Carlton from the start. They let him get away with pretty much murder. Still couldnt believe they got rid of Bradshaw for him... crazy stuff... Going on last nights performance it wont be long until Vossy joins him in the unemployment line. Just because you were a superstar player doenst make you a superstar coach. Tim Watson proved that..
lol@auto-fill I've never had Fev in my team so guessing that wont change. Having said that I will say I've met and spoke with him at a sportsman night and was suprised by how down to earth he is, a cool bloke to have a yarn with.
And now it's official! http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/brendan-fevola-sacked-from-lions/story-e6frf9jf-1226009078263
TROUBLED AFL footballer Brendan Fevola has been sacked from the Brisbane Lions.

The meeting was attended by Brisbane chairman Angus Johnson and senior managers Steven Wright and Dean Warren. AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou and operations manager Adrian Anderson were also there.

Andrew will be grinning like a fat kid with a cupcake............Wanted Fev and his antics gone for a long time. Not a conspiricy thing because the blokes brought it on himself but AD will be a happy camper..........Wonder if Sheeds has his # lol.
