Surjan saying he probably won't play round 1 pushed me to believe you Heater. However I think he'll be a good downgrade target when he plays a few. Might wait for him to be on the bubble. What if Libba is named? Still Atley over Libba? I suppose Dogs have more class that may edge him out....
So Hird has now confirmed that Hibberd will "probably debut in round 2" but over at Bigfooty there is a rumour he has a thigh injury that will see him out for 3 weeks. Which to believe? Is one week enough to boot him out of your squad? Three probably is.
Not sure if this got much publicity: http://www.couriermail.com.au/sport/afl/lion-king-johnathan-brown-ready-for-rip-roaring-opener/story-e6frepj6-1226027014031 Bewick set to debut. Apologies in advance if this is old news.
Just wanting some feedback re: McKernan v Darling for Tapscott... which one should I trade out (assuming all are picked of course)??
@hutchjnr i think darling and tapscott have better JS as McKernan will go once Tippett is back IMO Anyone got much info on Pederson from kangas? and his JS??
I'm tending to think along the same lines Dazza. Especially as Neil Craig said they won't go the 3 talls down there...
Just a general observation, but as team news leaks out it seems we are being bombarded with rookies. All those that 'might' get a game, are. Thus the choices are broadened considerably and many will be tempted by certainties, i.e., those that are confirmed first. Since the available numbers are plenty, it might be best to stick with your original choices based on research and gut feeling anyway. Look for those that have the highest scoring potential and the best JS. It is already evident that come lockout, the number of GC rooks remaining in peoples teams will have been considerably reduced as people take the safer option of someone already named (and already earning). This in itself may open up opportunity for those who remain calm and stick with their original team balance. It is also not hard to picture a scenario where some of these recently named rookies get stuck on 1 or 2 games and there is a flurry of trades come R4 as people try to jump back to their original GC selections.
I'm happy with my GC picks. Not offloading them at all. Just worried about someone like McKernan and Otten. McKernan appears to most likely be getting a game to cover the initial loss of Tippett. When he returns, McKernan will be out the door. Otten has spooked me so much that I've opted to cut him for Pedersen.
Ok, i think i may have to take a donut in the rucks this week. because i have gone bailey and smith as r3 &r4 and have fraser as my second ruck choice. whats peoples thoughts on this, who is a cheap ruck option to get something?
you obviously shouldnt get a donut in round1! But i think a lot of people are in the same boat. Keefe and Moran are listed as emergencies... Spencer and Bellchambers are on extended benches...
If McCauley wasn't injured for the first 2 weeks with an ankle, I think he might have otherwise been an emergency for Brisbane also.
@Jason - perhaps, but I think unlikely. McCauley's not likely to get a game unless Leuie's injured IMO.
IF Keeffe didn't get a game now with Maxwell out I doubt he will later on barring injuries, unfortunately. What are peoples's thoughts on R Tarrant vs Heppell?
