So far this round we've had some huge scores posted by first game players, I had hoped a few of the rookies would do alright but certainly didn't expect this! As of Sunday morning we've had; Ed Curnow - 120 Andrew Krakouer - 95 Shaun McKernan - 90 and Nick Lower - 112 Three of these at least were a bit out of left field for me, and we've still got 3 games to go and even bigger, GCS to debut next week. If these scores continue then it seems like it'll be a bumper year for rookies. Any outstanding rookies I missed? I'm not sure about everyone else but I'm starting to consider quite a few rookie trades after round 2....
Krakouer and Lower are safe as houses at this stage- imagine- he actually got subbed off for that score! Smack I thought was fairly lucky to be on the recieving end of a couple of crows fast-breaks, but will be in big trouble after the bye next week when Tippett comes back. Curnow again, was always going to do well when he got on the field, but he's just keeping the spot warm for Mclean.
Duigan Lower Krackhore McKernan All on the dirt and happy with them all Tapscott Richardson Daling All to play today Irons mooed on the pine with his 68 fingeres crossed he plays 4 or more.
All my rookies (including Krackhore) have done very well so far, Polec not starting has been the only donut... Lower and Mckernan are def keepers, not ready to jump on the Curnow bandwagon just yet...
Only going on the first quarter here but Tapscott looks in for a big one too, he's all over the backline
Tapscott, McKernan, Lower and Krakouer all did very well for me. McKernan was a last minute entry along with Markovic who picked up a reasonable 50 odd points. Still have Richardson to come and Darling on the bench.
What a great weekend for Rookies. Can add exceptional start for:- Heppell 90 Tapscott 106 Liberatore 72 Good Markovic 57 Sumner 44 Pederson 79 at 1/4 time!! Atley, Darling & Richardson also ok to 1/4
Had pedersen but opted for McKernan. As I mentioned on friday here, McKernan, Pedersen and Markovic are all sitting ducks for better players to come back from injury i.e. Tippett, Grima and Lake/Hargrave Much of a muchness when selecting these blokes. The hope is that they are mooing by the team the above three are ready to return.
@ Migs, I am surprised you had not heard of Lower, he was written up strongly in the Defensive Rookies preview. I would guess 75%+ of the teams from here had him in. regards chels
