Ever wondered what the best possible team would look like? Well for round 1 if you'd selected this combination you'd have scored 3078:
    H Taylor GEE 423800 142
    Gibbs CAR 508300 138
    Newman RCH 450900 132
    Enright GEE 477500 125
    Merrett BRI 314800 120
    Tarrant KAN 184900 119
    Pedersen KAN 109700 114
    *Lower FRE 103600 110
    *McKernan ADE 110200 98
    *O'Shea PTA 103600 69

    Swan COL 617300 332 (C)
    Watson ESS 520400 142
    Johnson COL 384100 139
    Mundy FRE 455700 138
    Swallow KAN 516900 136
    Embley WCE 421900 131
    *Curnow CAR 107700 118
    *Savage HAW 110200 75
    *Liberatore WBD 103600 73

    Cox WCE 428200 165
    Ryder ESS 416800 141
    *no namer 91700
    *no namer 91700

    O'Keefe SYD 440200 141
    Dawes COL 364600 140
    Riewodlt RCH 449400 122
    Fyfe FRE 353100 117
    Rioli HAW 461500 117
    Sylvia MEL 428200 114
    Tapscott MEL 110200 113
    *Darling WCE 103600 80
    *Richardson KAN 110200 69
    *Markovic WBD 110200 56

    bank: $15,300

Only exemption is Goddard has been omitted... couldn't justify his $633k for 119points (7th best defender). Also, couldn't see any cheap, playing ruckmen so have budgeted for two 'no namers' at $91700 each.

    cheers!

Good work there Silverback, interesting only 4 midprice required to get that score (Merrett, Johnson, Fyfe & Dawes)

You should keep tracking this team to see how it goes week to week but would have sat almost 500 pts ahead of the 4,600 best score for week 1.

Wow, just shows to be a weekly winner you probably won't win the thing. 500 points up or not, I can't see many of those players maintaining that score.

    Imagine cracking 3000 though...

I still enjoy my 2745. I reckon only ever been beaten a few times.

    FWIW my team R13 2008:
    Gilbee 144
    Milburn 83
    H Shaw 158
    Newman 121
    Mattner 112
    McLeod 113
    Ibbotson 99

    Ablett 338 (C)
    Stanton 108
    Cooney 123
    Stevens 136
    Mitchell 161
    Harvey 136

    Cox 118
    Kreuzer 91

    Pavlich 114
    Franklin 18 (!!)
    Porplyzia 96
    Tredrea 85
    J Brown 59 (!)
    Chapman 163
    Riewoldt 169

Smack. Could have broke 3000 had Buddy and JB come to play.

    @ Lucas
Trust the gun forwards to let you down when you're on a roll!!! 3000 would've been legendary - has it ever been cracked??? (this is only my 2nd year playing SC)

I see 3000 as pretty hard to break.

300 is almost a requirement for your captain (2*150)

Then you need 130 average from the rest of the team. Generally that would be 30 above the average of most team members, sometimes more.

Given it's hard enough to get team members to even average their average, it will remain the impossible dream.

(Unless the 3300 is changed, or the scoring system is weighted significantly differently towards the gun players)

I was thinking of doing a a run through like that but have been totally devoid of time.

Good thinking and great work Silverback!!

It would be great to keep track of this team, if you were to "manage" it!
