I can't believe that Cyril has been rubbed out for the bump on Nathan Jones.

This will have an unwanted effect on many SC teams unless the Hawks challenge it.

It will also make for some interesting decisions on the FWD structure of some teams if he does get wiped out.

1 week because of his bad record i think you'll find... Still pretty soft though.

How does Rance get 4 weeks in round 1 and Mcguane get 2 weeks for his hit this week.... MRP is a joke.

One week even with an early plea. What are the chances of a challenge?

If that's a hit then i'm superman. If that's illegal then shepherds should be as well. He barely touched him and he hit (and i say hit, but it's really a nudge if anything) him in the arm for gods sake! Not just because i'm a Hawthorn supporter, but if he gets rubbed out for this, it's a sad day for footy.

That is a joke of a decision. I don't have him in my side or support hawks.

Unbelievable. That's all I can say.

What the hell is this game coming to???
I've seen bigger, harder hits on the bloody netball court FFS!!!

Round 1 they let a couple of high swinging arm tackles around the neck off without any consideration by the MRP (you get rubbed out instantly in RL for them) - then they let Waite off after his kick in the jatz crackers - but Rioli cops it for nothing!!!!!

It's enough to make me want to forget watching the AFL and go to the local footy instead - at least they are still allowed to play like men in the country!!!!

I reckon McGuane will consider himself very lucky with his punishment. Thought he could have been looking at a longer stint.

Nice to see some opposition supporters echo my own views on the Rioli incident. Can't be bothered having a whinge anymore, we all know some things get punished un-necessarily while others that warrant punishment get left alone. That's the MRP, it's a blight on the game but it isn't going to change so meh, time to shoot the MRP panel, burn the MRP building down, get used to it eh?

With Cyril out for rounds 3 and 6, could it be worth trading him out for now?

    Go for it Locky.

Will be happy to cover him with one of the forward rookies, take a 50 point hit, then use Rioli against you with his scores around the 110 mark for the rest of the year.

Sorry dude but if you have Cyril and trade him out, I think it's an unnecessary move for a guy who should get top 7 forwards this year.

If you don't rate Cyril, go right ahead, give him the flick, but I'm not sure you can find too many of his calibre at the price range.

ROK maybe, Goodes maybe. It's a risk.

Would anyone consider trading him out for this week and then get him back next week? With 4 extra trades this year it could be a viable option - missing his points this week will hurt. Plus you could trade for someone like Dawes who will go up in value next week and then you have netted yourself some easy cash as well???

Just looking at options guys. A trade like this is a last resort for sure.

Just wasn't sure if it was a way I could gain an advantage by getting those few extra points. Like you say, its not worth the trade.

I wouldn't trade Cyril out for just one week. It will net you less than 40 points and maybe a few bucks for two trades.
