So far midprice and mature age rookies seem to have had an above average attraction to the sub jersey. I'd think as the year goes on you will see first year players copping the sub as a rest from the grind of a year. Which means upgrade as soon as possible and keep your premiums on the field. Because they only get subbed for injuries. With regards to Collingwood subbing Pendlebury or Swan, I'm not sure about how smart that would be unless they were belting another team by which stage these two would probably have already racked up 100 points. I think it makes more sense to give them a full game off, call it general soreness, or better yet say they are forced to do it because of the AFL's stupid rule.
My current thoughts are: Bewick: Wont be subbed due to Brisbane needing quality players, which although Bewick hasn't scored high was leading Brisbane's possessions last week Libba: If Wallis is listed for this week maybe him and Libba will swap. Doggies are playing the Suns so time for Eade to test anything new out. So having Libba starting and David Swallow as emergency makes me think Swallow is better on the field. But if Libba plays a full game against Suns his a certain 100+ points. Such a dilemma Lower: Was the sub last week and they lost so hoping he wont be this week. Wouldn't think they'd run the same guy as sub twice, but then Hird did. Duigan: With the senior Carlton players coming back into the team Duigan and Watson could sub each other Otten: Only reason he might be sub is still based on Craig's statement that his the perfect sub. Heppell: I would think his got the best non sub security and Essendon would want their best team this week. Lovet-murray is in but Myres and Hille are out and Heppell hasn't really put a foot wrong. What are your thoughts?
Lovett-Murray sinking into Sub - AFL wilderness so could very well be. I agree the with Lucas as to how it seens to be going and fair point if the lower teams want to run a couple of rookies "light" for the week could run them through the sub. In regards to a long season I think older mids such as Kerr could also be destined for the pine. Time will tell but it seems that bigger players are either on the dirt or not in full stop. Likes of Ellis this week seems front and centre for the long wait.
See how I go today in subs Evershit -Swans Gaffa tape - Weagles Ellis - Hawks Grimey - Tigers Jaensch - Crows Mrs Palmer - Freo Markovic - Doggies Maggot - GC
