@ bosco - worry with Pittard was his poor efficiency on Sunday, 27 disposals @ 67% efficiency isn't flash for someone in the back 6, especially considering he does have the skills & precision disposal to be well over 85% - also had 6 clangers & only 5 contested possessions!!!
Not sure of his JS, could possibly be dropped this week - and he is a very lightly framed lad, has been easily buffeted off the ball in all 3 games so far. Needs to hit the gym & build his body up fast before being used in the back 6 regularly imo.
That being said, if the coaching staff used their heads a bit he could actually be a pretty good fit from a HFF with his ability to hit targets by foot!!!

Bearfly - Achknowledge your insight to Port, but i'm not sure Pittard even with that efficiency would be dropped thinking 27 possies by a third gamer is not bad surely their is worst players to get dropped also, who's likely to take his spot.

If Toy isn't picked this week thought's on trading him to Mckernan/B.Smith or wait a week and see how Coad goes before his price goes up

@ Fez - Surjan has had 2 great games in SANFL with the Magpies & should be right in the mix considering he loves hitting the Crows hard.
Also likely to be brought in this week are Ebert, Salopek & Banner who was the travelling emergency on the weekend & is highly regarded for his hard in & under style of play.
Personally, I would like to see Primus mix things up a bit & give Pittard a go from HFF - he needs to do something to get the team working.
But like I said, Pittard's biggest drawback is his light build - he really does need to build up his body to be a regular down back.

    Looks like he'll be alright...

Power coach Matthew Primus has forecast a shake-up of his team's midfield, with Jason Davenport and elevated rookie Jarrad Irons likely to be dropped for Saturday night's clash at AAMI Stadium.

Defender Paul Stewart is also in the gun.

They would make way for specialist forward Brett Ebert, midfielder Steven Salopek and Jacob Surjan.

Fez, re: Toy, I think it's a good question. He's a concern for me. I thought the decision to drop him was puzzling to say the least. Of all the GC rookies against Carlton, he probably looked the most assured, acknowledging that he came on late.

I thought he'd be a cert for selection last week.

I'm going to hang on to him, but I'd like to see him get on to the park this week.

    Ha! @shenanigans
Good point re. Ed Barlow. I'll stick with Michael Curnow.

I have to disagree Bearfly. Pittard has been one of the few shining lights in a dreadful start so far. There is no way he will be dropped this week. I could name 10 players at least who should go before him. I do agree he should be played maybe on the wing. Give him the chance to run around and not be under so much pressure down back.

Surj is not ready for the AFL at the moment. I watched the Port/Glenelg match on the weekend and he was struggling behind the play. He needs to build up this fitness first with a few more games in the SANFL. Surj had no pre season at all so it is going to take time before he comes back into the Port side.

@ Fez, I will be making the move of Otten> Brodie Smith. Otten is really struggling in getting used to the pace of the game after 12 months out. Smith looks really good and with all of the Crows injuries he is guaranteed to get a long run with them.

Does anyone think a Montagna trade to Watson is a waste. I am ranked about 2000 and thinking if the Saints keep losing and the Bombers keep winning or at least keep a close contest then Watson could be a good way of making up some points as a POD. I haven't used any trades and have 95k in the bank.

Original plan was to just do nothing until Round 7 and then do 3 solid weeks of upgrades for a charge up the ladder. Hate trading premiums but all the teams around me are identical so need to do something....or do I?

Have Swan, Boyd, Bartel, Pendlebury, Montagna and Harris/Swallow/Libba in the middle at the moment

I'm thinking of putting Cotchin on the bench and fielding Swallow. Having 390k on the bench goes absolutely against instinct, but poor Trent Cotchin is running into the unstoppable force...

Probably cutting my own throat suggesting this since we are in the same league

Terry - I'll be happy to squeeze into Top 8 in our league!

Thanks for the advice, the gun is back in the holster and my itchy trade finger gets another week off :p

@Gary - Cheers for the reply, Petrie survives at least one more week...

The reason I bring up adcock is he works well for league wins with the bye scenario and dammit at that price I'm cursing I didn't pick him up!

@vaughan yes you need to clear up the messes being magin hibberd and fraser, but Josh Loser is the most urgent. zach smith pleases all, and has not yet played 3 games. Do It! hibberd is only 2 wks away i reckon, so you cld even consider waiting...and i actually like magin, but he's a sub-danger...B. Smith adelaide is a good swap. rioli and goodes aint gonna be friendly prices in rounds 6,7,8...good luck

A Question to the masses, please:

Should i dump Travis Barcode before he drops in price big-time, and catch Rissole Rioli who is still at Home Brand price courtesy of suss-pension? Ive got the dough. its a like for like, price-wise, aboriginal for aboriginal, but thats not at all why im doing it: its the cyril magic im chasin, and travis could only score 50 against Port Crapelaide. Is Trav gonna step up, or does he shape as a fringe, sub, not in Scott's best midfielders, kinda guy? Thanks

What about Andy Otten? should he be held onto this week, and put in his teammate Brodie Smith and save some cash? Andy Otten hasn't set the world on fire, and smith looks like going up in value next week

I have Irons on MID bench, if he gets dropped should i trade to Prestia? Already did 2 "correction trades" last round (Hibberd/Curnow, Richardson/Tapscott)... Or should i just hold him...

Also thinking of droppping Otten to Brodie Smith..
