R5 trades to remove captain for double dip captain loophole

Does loophole work if make D Stanley captain this week and B goddard VC , then trade out captain for Jed Adcock, When adcock comes in hopefuuly he will not be captain. then i will have no captain for Thursday night game and if goddard scores 150+ then i can choose captain when lockout re opens and pick capt as someone how is not playing eg J Darling and goddard automatically becomes my captain scoring double points. If Goddard scores <100 i can pick pendelbury/gibbs/franklin /sandilands etc as captain....IS THIS HOW IT WORKS??????

Is trade stanley as fwd labelled as defender worth trading now for adcock or wait till he stops incresing in price as BE still ok for stanley...

say you have cox in your team, make him skipper and then have a ruck emerg, make someone playing tomoro night VC and then if you are un happy with their score, move the C to swan or whoever you want.

95% sure thats right and is the way im going, can someone confirm this?

 

I've read the partial lockout rules on the SC website and I'm going the same way.
It specifically states that only Bris and StK players are locked after the partial lockout.

(There was talk in another thread that players with the bye MIGHT be locked also. Just talk though!
If in doubt, pick an injured player who doesn't have the bye as your dodgy Capt.)

Best to read the SC website yourself and make your own decision.

 

Just be careful that the players with the bye arent locked into position tomorrow night.

 

Thanks andreww but if happy with VC score and want that doubled then need to leave cox in team without emergency so cox will score you zero otherwise if do have emergency ruckman then that emergency will come in and be your captain as he is replacing cox your nominated capt and undo all your goodwork with VC 300 score,,,is this right ...if keep VC no Capt then need to score a donut for 1 player,,,correct???

 

the purpose of the VC is so that if your C doesnt play (scores a 0), the NOMINATED VC doubles score instead. So an emergency covering a C wont have their score doubled... your nominated VC will be doubled

 

Dont pick a C at all until after thu nite game in which your VC plays.
Then if your happy with VC (hi Goddard) score, you do nothing further.
If your not happy make someone else C (hi Swan).

 

On the subject of captains, is Travis Boak a viable option as captain the week?

How can u not pick a captain?

Its allready permanently selected after round 1

 

You will need to trade in Adcock before the lock out tonight.

As previously suggested make Cox your C and one of your bench rucks as emerg. It works.

If Goddard/Monty etc don't score over 150, then just make Swan or Pendles your C.

 

Make one of your Bris/St K players VC tonight and give a WC/Melb/Syd player captain. If your VC scores well tonight then leave capatin as is. On Friday you can change your captain from a WC/Melb/Syd to whoever you want if your VC goes no good.

 

Not sure making a player with the Bye captain is worthwhile but we will find out tonight

 

hey guys look the way that i am doing this as i beleive it is the most reliable and the one i can trust the most is to...

select your team as you normally would, say with swan as captain and then goddard as vice captain. then after thursdays match (obvioulsy it goddard does no good then leave it as it is), but if he gets 180 then move swan to the bench and put a non playing player on. and make swan emergency incase you hadn't worked it out.

Your method worked prior to Rd 1 and I used it for that partial lockout.
In case things had changed during restricted trades (post Rd 1), I tested the method on DT this morning and the incoming player assumed the captaincy.
It might have changed for SC also. (Not game to try, SC is serious!)

If I name Cox as skipper, Fraser as emergency and Godsy as vc and if Godsy doesnt come up trumps I can switch Pendles to skipper and Fraser will come in for Cox? Right? Wrong?

Bloody hell it's doing my head in lol.

 

So is goddard's 120 enough to keep him in? Other options are pendles, Gibbs or Judd
