I have completely screwed my SC team with bad trading decisions, so I may as well focus on my DT which has managed to scrape into the top 3,000 with minimal work.

With $226,000 in the bank I was thinking upgrading Petrie to Goodes/O'Keefe then Harris to Watson or Ablett next week.

What do you think? I also plan on bringing in Chappy for probably Matera once he bottoms out in 2-3 weeks.

Thanks Fez, guess I should just stick with the rule "don't trade out premiums", although it didn't work with Davis last year :(

Thinking next week I might trade Matera for I Smith and D Swallow for J Selwood. Then the following week might trade Krak for forward rookie then upgrade Lower or Duigan to Heath Shaw or Tappy to Chappy?
I currently have 18 trades left if I do the above that leaves me 14 trades with 4 or possibly 5 positions on the field to upgrade. This ok for this time of year?
Still have Didak, Enright & A Swallow who are underperforming along with N Roo, Goddard & Gibbs (sometimes) but as I picked them as premos I guess I should stick with them all now :S

    Here are my planned trades:

    This week
    Petrie - I Smith
    Heppell - Fisher

    Next
    Tapscott - Lynch
    Conca - Mundy/Ablett

And enough cash to go Darling -> Chappy the next week

Should I do my tradees Today?
I know its Monday and I'm always the first to say wait till Thursday/Friday for trades, but this week i'm planning to get 2 guns in my backline
    Here:
    OUT: Grimes IN: Hargrave
(which is basically the "lock" trade which I know I will be doing)
    AND
    OUT: Broughton IN: Enright
(Trading Broughton because he seems to be playing defensive roles this year, I have seen him play on LeCras, L.Thomas and Stevie J in the games I've watched and only averaging 80, which is no where near his form of last year, and In my team isn't really classed as a premium, as he is yet to top 100 this year, and hasn't scoreed 90 since about round 2, and surely with Enright it'll make my backs look better)
This'll leave me with a backline with
    GODDARD/NEWMAN/ADCOCK/ENRIGHT/HARGRAVE/DUIGAN/BUCKLEY
    (L.THOMPSON/A.OTTEN/N.LOWER)
I figured I can't hang around waiting for Broughton to score 100s beccause there isn;t much chance, and Broughton continues to fall in price, I want to get rid of him before he goes down anymore.
    Thoughts?
No injuries to Enright and Hargrave?
No chance of them being dropped?
And the question...should I trade today?

Sainter, apart from anything else, you should never trade until the final teams have been released on Friday.
I also wouldn't advise a sideways trade to Enright either. He was picked at the start of the year because you thought he'd be a keeper. Keep the faith!

Ok it looks pretty clear cut for me this week

    Knights > Lynch
    Swallow > Selwood

I base this ofcourse on Higgins coming back into my forwards.

Will have the decision of Thompson, Buckley, and Lower for my D7. Any advice. I’m thinking Buckley, Thompson, Lower in that order but the selection table may have something to do with it.

clackerz - that number of trades is fine, depending how many keepers you still need to bring in. i have 6, maybe 7, keepers to get, and have 16 trades to do it. Assuming two trades per upgrade (and some will only need one), i still have couple left for injuries.

I need 160k to bring in Swanny for Curnow.

Who is the best cow to cull from Tapscott, Matera, Darling, Krak, Lower, Batchelor.

Im leaning towards Matera due to the bye atm.

    Tino, Matera for mine.
As you said the bye is a factor, although his B/E is only 32, so there is plenty of money still to be made there.

Jake Batchelor would be the next in my opionion as his seems very up and down.

    Thanks Chaz,

Yeah I thought Matera was the one to go too. Batchelor's b/e is 5 or something because he is still playing out that high score. So not sure which will be best to cull.

Downgrade targets? Is it worth getting Pup in now esp with more Hawks going down injured?
