I have Hurley DEF who was a late withdrawal. No DEF emergency. I also have Bob Murphy in my FWD line and emergency coverage in the forwards. Both are F/D MPP's. I understand the rules of SC. HOWEVER, in future, should a FWD emergency be able to cover a DEF donut in this situation? Like 'real' footy, this is just a positional change for players already on the ground. I'm not suggesting bringing in players from an extended bench. And it would add to the value of MPP's. Yeah, bad luck, we all have it, suck it up princess etc. But would this be a good rule change?
I reckon it would be good. I also reckon they need to bring in some sort of a rule about subs. like if you have a player that is a sub, they can be replaced with an emergency if the emergency scores higher, or something like that...
luck of the draw lads can't make it to easy how many people had jobe and prob as captain. i had brodie smith on for a 7 lol what can you do
The way I see it, an MPP is an MPP, and thus should be able to be used as an emergency in either of his listed positions. This makes perfect sense. Good suggestion whips!
Whips is does make good sense but and I have spoke along similar lines before but a bloke made a good point against my argument last season that went (From memory) In the real early days of Dreamteam your bench would cover all lines so people got around the system with rucks (Remember this was early days) by having rookie non playing rucks and 2 solid mids covering them. What you suggest is common sense but supercoaches are cunning buggers and would find a way to abuse the privlage. But when I read your post it's not that clear on your emergency. If in your situation as you say Hurley is the late withdraw with no backline cover and the forward emergency is IE: McKernan (Adl) that also has MPP of D/F then yes I could see where your coming from but if your only forward emergency was IE: Matera with no MPP then Bob Murphy is irrelevent as he's already on the dirt and I'd say no.

and so if you have a backline emergency aswell as a forward emergency then do you get the choice of whos score you take.... not working for me i think it is fine as it is
Same problem with me this week had Jacobs on backline emergency but had Pittard pull out with no midfield emergency only cost me 38 but hey y did Pittard pull outt
Love the idea. It will make MPPing more important than this year with the byes to have one guy covering two positions.
