I'm not sure where they heard it because I can't find anything. I sure hope not or all hell will break loose!

Quote from anthak on May 24, 2011, 10:01 I hope not. Stkt, you would be laughing though!
if true and with no Sandi & no Swan in my team. hahahahaha suckers But i cant see about it anywhere, a mate told me. Thought i read on here that he was injured early on in the game so thought its quite possible....
Would be smart. He got smashed a bad corky on the weekend. Could hardly jog, was just courage in the end getting him over the line. Swan out would be very unsurprising if you ask me. He should have at least one and maybe two out. But if he has two out why not three and come back after the bye.
I agree - he'll need a rest at some stage, and it would be good timing with the bye. But having said that they only had a bye in rnd 7. The pies have WCE (ES), STK (MCG) then Dees (MCG) before the bye. But haven't seen anything, and would take it with a grain of salt until Thursdays teams come out, or Friday's for lock-ins as they're playing Sunday...
From a purely selfish perspective - for once its not someone in my team that's injured. Makes for very intriguing upgrade decisions in a few weeks time. For me, makes me extra happy I stuck with Selwood (though more by necessity than design)
Nah I reckon right on the money. Swan out for at least one. Let's see team selections though. He did cop a massive hit in the pack, got a corky and hobbled off, but then was back on the ground in a few mins after a massage. It all depends how hampered he is when the Pies consider the bye and a lovely long refreshing time is had. I have a feeling the Pies are significantly loading their players physically now which has the effect of magnifying the last quarter surges they have done most weeks. Geelong was a different story, but the Pies made far less rotations that night, then copped the Brown/Toovey injuries in the last term so that's a clear reason the Pies were beaten by Geelong and looked flat in that last quarter. It's unlikely to happen too often until the pressure games start in September. Maybe 3 more times I would guess as the Pies get their team cherry ripe.
Im goin out on a limb - Swan is a tough hombre and he will play! One of them games that Pies need to win coming off a loss then being tested last week. If he needs a rest bung him in the fwd 50! I will be shocked if he doesn't play this week.
Swan plays but Collingwood lose Cloke, Dawes, Didak, Brown and Maxwell in the game against the Eagles Give St.Kilda at least a small glimmer of hope
An interesting read regarding what the Pies may be planning, Swan mentioned. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/a...overy-in-us-camp/story-fn7shz1t-1226063053095
COLLINGWOOD is planning to send up to five players to the US mid-season to accelerate their recovery from injury for the run into the finals series. Star midfielder Dane Swan, No.1 ruckman Darren Jolly and premiership key defender Nathan Brown will be in the party that will return to the club's pre-season altitude camp in Arizona for an intensive rehabilitation program.

Given the conventional wisdom that players need to spend 12 days at the altitude camp to achieve the maximum benefits, those travelling would be unlikely to play against Sydney in Sydney on June 25 in Round 14.

I heard on the radio this morning, Luke Darcy on MMM that Jolly, Swan and one or two other pies were being considered to travel to the US for treatment of their injuries. So not sure what that means.
