Here's The Team Of The Year So Far TEAM OF THE YEAR >This Team has no salary cap< >Just the best 7/6/2/7 from each position, and the rookies that have scored the most overall points, must of been less than 150k/or there first season, like Swallow, Conca, who were 150k+ at the start< >D.Petrie and A.Krak accepted if in the best< BACKLINE: B.Deledio (1073) C.Newman (1006) S.Fisher (978) H.Scotland (977) H.Shaw (942) J.Adcock (936) T.Chaplin (913) RESERVES: D.Heppell (822) S.Martin (687) N.Lower (670) MIDFIELD: S.Pendlebury (1112) D.Mundy (1096) M.Boyd (1089) S.Thompson (1067) D.Swan (1063) M.Murphy (1059) RESERVES: J.Pittard (676) D.Swallow (657) S.Savage (653) RUCKMEN: D.Cox (1103) A.Sandilands (970) RESERVES: D.Petrie (722) Z.Smith (690) FORWARDS: L.Franklin (1059) M.Pavlich (1018) C.Sylvia (968) N.Fyfe (951) J.Roughead (916) B.Harvey (908) R.O'Keefe (886) RESERVES: J.Darling (709) A.Krakouer (625) L.Tapscott (556) Thanks to SilverBack, gave me this idea, was looking through the rankings while readng his TeamOf The Round!
Alos, which players from your side are in the Team Of The Year? Currently. My current players in this side are C.Newman, J.Adcock, N.Lower, D.Swan, D.Cox, Z.Smith, M.Pavlich, J.Darling, A.Krakouer, L.Tapscott. Only 10 of my 33 players are in this side, only 1 midfielder in Swan..... Which players do you guys have?
I have (or had, in the case of Lower) the following 17: BACKLINE: B.Deledio H.Shaw RESERVES: D.Heppell N.Lower MIDFIELD: S.Pendlebury D.Mundy D.Swan M.Murphy RESERVES: D.Swallow RUCKMEN: D.Cox A.Sandilands RESERVES: Z.Smith FORWARDS: L.Franklin M.Pavlich RESERVES: J.Darling A.Krakouer L.Tapscott
B.Deledio H.Shaw J.Adcock D.Heppell S.Martin N.Lower S.Pendlebury M.Boyd S.Thompson D.Swan D.Cox A.Sandilands (until last week) D.Petrie (currently FWD) Z.Smith L.Franklin M.Pavlich J.Darling A.Krakouer L.Tapscott (until last week) Cashed in Swallow at his 2nd bye
Deledio Shaw Adcock Lower Heppell Just got Pendles for Swan Boyd Swallow Cox Sandi Petrie (FWD) Smith Franklin Pavlich O'Keefe Krakour
Deledio Shaw Heppell Lower Pendles Cox Sandi Franklin Pavlich Fyfe Darling Great idea. Now i can really see where i've gone wrong. Have only just aquired Franklin & Shaw in the last 2 weeks. So ive struggled with some of my keepers, this will help me with some trades in the coming weeks.
I think that the Team of the Year should go off averages and not total prices. If a player has had more byes than another then they could miss out on a spot due to this, making it unfair. I don't know if that changes anything, just thought it's something I would add to this
Sorry if I'm storming on the parade, but I agree with Sainterz12 that it should be based on weekly averages, and thus the team looks like: BACKS: S. Fisher (108) H. Scotland (108) B. Deledio (107) H. Shaw (104) J. Adcock (104) C. Newman (100) B. Goddard (99) PINE: D. Heppell (91) S. Martin (85) N. Lower (83) MIDS: S. Pendlebury (123) D. Mundy (121) M. Boyd (121) S. Thompson (118) D. Swan (118) M. Murphy (117) PINE: D Heppell (again, so won’t count him) D. Swallow (82) T. Liberatore (80) D. Harris (80) RUCKS: D. Cox (122) A. Sandilands (121) PINE: D. Petrie (90) Z. Smith (86) FORWARDS: L. Franklin (117) M. Pavlich (113) C. Sylvia (107) S. Johnson (107) N. Fyfe (105) J. Roughead (101) B. Harvey (100) PINE: D. Petrie (again) J. Darling (78) A. Krakouer (78) L. Tapscott (69) So, as it turns out, the team doesn't change too much. Having this team with would give you 2564 points in a round (now give me a few minutes to calculate how this team goes over-all when we put byes into the equation...)
OK, you couldn't possibly bring in the above team at the start of the year, but if you did, you'd only have to much donuts in R6 when the forward line gets decimated, but other than that, you'd be good! Just based on these averages (I didn't go to see each players weekly scores, thats a whole other lot of work), you'd be getting 2500 pretty-much each week, for an average of 2489 and a total score of 24,896... Now, if only the SC bank would loan you the money to buy a team like this from the beginning!!!
Agreeing JPK and Sainterz12 I've got them on here for there year score to date....averages would be better, but at the end I did say i got the idea while I was looking through the rankings, which doesn't show the averages straight off, you'd have to click on there names for that.. so I wasn't in the trade sections so I could just see the averages, thanks for the thoughts, could do both with year to date scores and averages I suppose
Love the thread! So much so that it's going to make the newsletter. My current team started with the following count: 4/5/4/5 Absolutely nailed the rookies with the exception of Martin and Libba, but missed a fair few of the premiums, particularly in the backs and forwards. The current team, is looking like this (though a number of the cows have been traded!) 4 (plus Heppell)/ 4 / 4 (gunna trade out Sandi though)/ 3 (plus Darling) Guess that shows why I'm sitting 1000 spots behind the leaders!
