Insipid. It seems the football commentary world has scoured the thesaurus once again and come up with this little gem - it's THE word of season 2011. I wouldn't mind getting a comprehensive list of the most overused words and/or sayings in our great game... so if you're up and about, in and under or just into taking a good hard look at yourself, perhaps you could post some of them here for all and sundry to see.

"role" Otherwise known as he is a hack but we dont have the balls to drop him as he plays a "role" for the team.. yes im looking at you Kosi, Hawkins...........
The word on everyones lips when they show a reaction shot on Tv after a missed goal. Love it! Especially when it's your team. Gets down to a base level and everyone from the pope to the peasant feels it.

(also 7 goals in 4 games being a sub in every game) But unfortunatley he is now out for the year...
Dont forget Dempster Thunda.... Rossy loves saying Sean plays a role for us! fits right in with the Kosi/Hawkins mould, although played his one good game for the year last week
