With Joel Selwoods "The reason he falls is because his ear has been damaged ... not as a result of some blow that is landed by Mr Selwood." defence to his hit on Guerra it got me thinking what are some of the worst excuses players have used... Theres been a couple other beauties this year already.

    1. Daisy Thomas: "I was trying to hit the ball" even though he was staring at the ball 5m away
    2. Zac Dawson: "He ran into the back of my hand"
    3. Chris Judd's pressure point excuse

So what are some of the other quality excuses people have tried at the tribunal?

Barry Hall's "In Play" defense despite the ball being 150m away.

It ain't AFL tribunal but this one was huge in the WAFL tribunal this year.

    "Taking sudofed to relieve hayfever"

I ain't a doctor but I'm pretty sure taking one 60mg hay fever tablet does not return a reading of 230mg....

One of the best excuses came from the MRP itself.
"Judd's elbow to Pavlich's face showed insufficient force."
Could you imagine a player arguing that?
