With Mitch Clark out, is Broc the guy to come in to help Leuenberger?

Is it too late in the season to do anything useful with him now, apart from the handy extra cover?

    @ Terry

I'm resigned to going for the League win now (and have been since about Round 2, lol). I'd like to see the B-Mac string a few games together and rise in price by another $100K or more.

Then when the finals roll around I have the possibility of downgrading him to a nobody and using the cash to make an upgrade somewhere.

I burned him weeks ago, for Max Bailey. Had to, avoid dough-nut

Need the big fella back to compensate for Coxy in a fortnight. Mind you Voss is the biggest S/C coach killer in the AFL. His designed a crap team and still refuses to give rookies a decent 6-7 game streak. Will be glad when his arse is sacked at the end of year and Brissy rookies become viable again.

Its probably a case of too little , too late for me but I'd love to see him play a few more games in the next 4-6 weeks. Who knows he could turn into a handy backup or just one more cow for $$$. Go Broc.

Completely forgot about Broc. Has just been sittin' there, biding his time, knowing he'd be useful soon.

Would've been ideal if Sandi couldn't get up, but looks like he will be right now.

    Come on down McCauley!!

For $$$ could even cash out Smith in two weeks if you think Cox and Sandi will play out the year.

Huge risk, doesn't present much value either because he's unlikely to score more than 70, probably will average 55. McCauley got more points in SC last year from laying tackles than winning hitouts, in the few games that Voss actually gave him.

Longer or Cordy would be cheaper than McCauley and might have better long-term JS. But I don't recommend them for R2 either.

Rowe appears a potential better option.

Too much of a risk. Even Stephenson could very well outscore him.

Who would you plan to have him snuggling up against in R1?

Ha ha... thanks... consider me talked out of it!

Tossing up between McIntosh & Kreuzer in R1 at the moment. Every now and then I flirt with the idea of ZSmith as an option too.

So far I have been opting for value rather than elite-priced players in the rucks this year - I'm prepared to take a bit of risk here given there seems to be quite a few good options available (now that you've corrected me delusional stray into considering McCauley!). Frees up the cash for elsewhere.

Giles/Redden locked in for the other two rucks.

Yep I'd agree with the above and lock in the top 3 rookie ruck options which to me are Giles, Big O and Redden.

Given that the general consensus appears to be that McCauley is not worth the risk, how do people rate Longer as an option as opposed to Big O at R4?

Decent if you can afford the cash PFJ, I have read some good things about Longer around these forums during NAB. But if he costs more than your R3 and possibly your R2, surely he isn't your R4?

Forgive the pun, but he will take Longer. It really depends on who your other rucks are to cover, get the points in.

    @tk,
Think I can see what you are trying to achieve. Consider perhaps Jacobs as R1/2?
