    Good evening all,

well, Sunday night I was all ready for the greatest, ever TOTR only to be bitterly disappointed once I'd finished crunching the numbers... With great scores from Broughton, Scotland, Goldstein, Pavlich, Cloke, etc. I was hoping for a 3400 but not to be.

Anyway, my iScent team... whoops, I mean TOTR looks like this:

    Broughton - FRE - 145
    Scotland - CAR - 143
    Birchall - HAW - 129
    Bock - GCS - 125
    Enright - GEE - 123
    Thornton - CAR - 115
    Suckling - HAW - 113

    Griffen - WBD - 145
    Vince - ADE - 136
    Swan - COL - 133
    Ball - COL - 131
    Jones - MEL - 125
    Cooney - WBD - 124 *

    Goldstein - KAN - 328 (c)
    Petrie - KAN - 119

    Pavlich - FRE - 155
    Cloke - COL - 154
    Giansiracusa - WBD - 128
    Fyfe - FRE - 125
    Yarran - CAR - 117
    Goodes - SYD - 114
    Smith - HAW - 112

bench of $91,700 no-namers with $195,100 in the bank.

    Last week's TOTR dropped 1484 from 3122 to a pathetic 1638.

This week's apology goes to Ryan O'Keefe from the Swans. His score of 113 and salary of $478,300 was forced to make way for Isaac Smith's score of 112 and meagre salary of only $179,700 to ensure we squeezed in under budget. Also Josh Kennedy from Sydney misses out... He scored 124 the same as Cooney. Last week's rule about being easier to spell didn't separate the two so I went with the player who'd won the most Brownlow Medals.

So, why was this week's TOTR so low? The midfielders are to blame... with only 6 players above 120 it was their worst performance this year.

    Some special mentions this week:
5th appearance for the year: Scotland, Pavlich, Fyfe and Goodes.
4th appearance: Petrie, Cloke and Yarran.
3rd appearance: Broughton, Birchall, Enright, Suckling, Griffen, Swan and Goldstein.

I had 4 of my squad make the cut (Swan, Yarran, Goodes and Smith. Whilst the $1000 winner (think-king) had 11!!!

Really looking forward to the iScent results for this week... I'm a little confident that I may have won a little wager against a rival... Make sure you get your entries in for that comp (so I can beat you as well).

    take care,

    The Silverback

PS Friday's Herald-Sun had a feature questioning the greatest full forward between Dunstall, Ablett and Lockett. No question, Dunstall is the man!

Great stuff Silverback, at least until that nonsensical comment at the end. One can only assume that for the entire period that those 3 full forwards played the game you were taking drugs, playing on your Commodore 64 and watching Miami Vice. Piggy is lucky to even be invited into that trio of names.

Plugger all the way and back again.

Good one Silverback & re Dunstall - I'm with you mate!

    @ Corks :p (Bllrrrrpppp - that's a raspberry)

I had 6 this week (Broughton, Swan, Petrie, Pav, Goodes & Smith) I reckon I'll probably bring in the monster (Cloke) this week.

Great write up as always & no apology required to bring in a Hawk over a Swan. Good luck with your little wager but I think you will probably lose it :)

Had 6, Greg Broughton, Matt Suckling, Dane Swan, Matthew Pavlich, Isaac Smith & Adam Goodes. Those 6 made up 872 points of my score 2243. That's more than 35% of my score was used by between 25-30% of my players.
P.S = Tony "Plugger" Lockett, 1360 goals is amazing, and so was he! To bad he left the Saints yet I still think he's the best out of them imo.

    Nice one silverback.
I had 5 players in this weeks team, can't seem to get more than that. Had Pav,Fyfe,Suckers,Petrie & Goodes.

That reminds me i must check my iscent team and see how i went...probably no good again.

Ablett for mine, but i bleed blue & white so i'm biased.

Thanks Silverback, I always enjoy reading your TOTW. Its interesting to see which players I probably should have picked in my team.
Only 3 for me this week... again.

    @corks...

back to your comment regarding Plugger being the one...

Surely Dunstall's personality, wit, charm and rakish good looks lift him above Plugger? lol

Plugger's greatest contribution to AFL was his Toyota memorable moments ad!

jks... The original comment was put there to stir some people up but in all sincerity they're all great forwards and all unbeatable on their day.

PS c'mon Walesy, I wanna see how I went in iScent!

    :)

Ha ha ha...If its a personality contest Silverback, then Dunstall, Ablett and Plugger would hardly be finalists on any scale!
