I'm hearing MCL, 4-6 weeks. Anyone else have any news? What are your plans for him - hold, Selwood or someone else?
This won't be popular but I've gotta say even if he would come back in two weeks i think the right move is for suns to wrap him in cotton wool for the rest of the season.. suns will struggle to post any more wins and it will give the kids a chance tto build some belief that they can compete without GAJ. (..well that and the fact that I'm the only one in the top 8 of my league without him,)
I don't have him but if I did I would be trading him for Selwood and or Dal Santo freeing up some cash (assuming people have trades that is
^ Was also thinking a straight swap for Selwood would be a good option. However I only have 5 trades left so it's a tough one. It'll depend how long he's out for.

Well, as usual I'll just wait for the news once the results from the scans are out. Always hard to wait, but in the meantime you just have to take what you read with a pinch of salt until the official release comes out
I heard that they'll try to get him back next week for the Collingwood clash. He'll miss this week's game against Richmond. I think Gold Coast are trying to rush him back a bit, probably don't want to be demolised by Collingwood....that's looking likely whether Gaz plays or not. 2-3 weeks minimum if they don't rush him back. Nick Dal Santo would be an obvious replacement, but if you can afford to hold Ablett for one week until Hawthorn's bye is over then I think Luke Hodge is starting to get back to his great form of last year.
Mids who have completed the bye (and worth considering for selection) GC - Rischitelli, Brennan Coll - Pendlebury, Swan, Thomas StK - Dal Santo, Montagna WCE - Priddis Adel - Thompson Frem - Pavlich Melb - Moloney Most would find enough there to consider. For mine Ablett out Priddis in seems OK given my esteem for the Dunnybrush.
Soda, was thinking of getting Hodge as well. Looked impressive last few weeks and the Hawks have a lovely rails run from here. Ducky is another interesting one. Most people could probably cover him in the Cats bye, and it could well be a leagues 'week's rest' if your team wins week 1. Not really sold on bringing in Marc Murphy, or anyone else with a bye to come. If you don't have Boyd/Griffen you could do worse I guess.
Have ablett, the problem is as i assume everybody else is in same boat,im sinking and only 3 trades to plug the leak. I feel the only real option is to wait and see, i,m top 4 in my 4 leauges with very little presure of dropping out of top 4 so to hold on and hope like hell it,s not so bad and my cover is good enough.

It'd take some cajones to put the C on GAJ even if he does play. If he does play 'sore', then he'd be a chance for sub duties, or a least plenty of FWD line time.
